The Colorado Buffaloes beat Georgia Tech 14-13 on Thursday night at Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta, in Deion Sanders’ Year 4 season opener.

Colorado trailed 13-7 late but freshman quarterback Julian Lewis engineered a lightning-fast 75-yard, 63-second drive, capping it with a 20-yard touchdown pass to tight end Charlie Williams with 42 seconds left. Georgia Tech got the ball back for a shot at a game-winning field goal, but Colorado defensive back Boo Carter blocked Aidan Birr’s attempt as time expired, sealing the win.
