Looking back now it kinda makes sense since his mom is his manager. I collect alot of LSU stuff and collectable things autographed. I remember collecting Joe Burrow stuff and it was everywhere like Fanatics, ebay, etc. After Jayden won the Heisman Trophy I expected it would be the same way but I noticed after a little time it was not the same. I don't know why maybe because NIL made it harder for schools and players to agree on percentages for payouts to both parties. I did find a Jayden Daniels autograph LSU jersey but it was on a NFL auction site. Finding out that Jayden's mom is his agent I can definitely see her going full fuq you LSU you didn't want to agree back then now you want to use my son's number 5. Unfortunately it looks like Jayden doesn't have the balls to tell his mom just let it go. Anyway I definitely think his mom is responsible for this PR shitshow.

Younger LSU fans don't understand what Skip started with and how he built it to probably the best college baseball program in the nation. Skip made people in Louisiana baseball fans. I remember Skip, Coaches, and players getting off a big tour bus in my little town and having a baseball clinic in the mid 1980's. Remember we hadn't won shite before that but he was creating something and he knew it. People in Louisiana got behind him and that support has never wavered since then. He built the POWERHOUSE and fans young and old have watched it thrive. As a life long fan of LSU baseball I can honestly say Thank you SKIP Bertman and RIP.

Posted this before as a 16 year old kid I attended the week long Skip Bertman camp in 1988. Those memories I will never forget. Being inside old Alex box, riding the white bus around Campus, eating inside the student cafeteria, looking at the LSU college girls, etc. Also being coached up by Skip, Beetle Bailey, Mike Bianco(player coach) was awesome. Skip Bertman made LSU baseball what it is today. He brought baseball to little towns in Louisiana and did baseball clinics when no one else did stuff like that. He is our George Washington and LSU baseball is probably the best program in the national because of Skip Bertman. RIP Skip. Prayers to his family.
