Have you ever been in a life threatening situation?

About 20 yrs ago, a buddy of mine and I was working at a local pizza place. We had closed, and I was counting down the register and my friend took the trash out the back door. When he came back in, he was followed by a masked man with a gun at his back. He forced my friend to the floor, and next thing I know, the gun is on my forehead. He demanded the money, then told me to get on the floor. Dude was even bold enough to fix himself a fountain drink before he left out the back door. It was terrifying.

Same scenario got held at gunpoint by 2 thugs while I helped the Winn Dixie manager empty a safe. All that for just stopping to get my daughter baby formula. I survived and for that I am grateful

Couple of times, clearly I lucked out all of them.

When I was younger, I had just got finished banging this chick in her parents' bed. I did unspeakable things to her. Her father chased me down the street, carrying a shotgun and threatening to kill me. I've never seen your grandfather so angry.

I let my wife drive on a trip once. I had a bad headache and the Goody's hadn't kicked in yet. We literally didn't make it off her grandparents property before she got pulled over and given a ticket for not stopping at a stop sign. I foolishly let her drive the first hour of the trip after that. Then I had to take over.

Intervened and rescued distressed diver at 80' down. His life was about to end....not mine

Saw a car randomly roll off the road and the driver fall out of the door. Turns out he was overdosing on heroin. I watched him have seizures and then go into cardiac arrest. He was brought back by paramedics.
I was 15
Also woke up at 3am unable to breathe. Turns out I had an allergic reaction that caused the glands in my throat to block my airway. paramedics hit me with an Epipen. That was 15 years ago and remains my first and only allergic reaction.

Did you know your wife was dangerously incompetent before you married her?

Bad storms quickly built and closed around us 30+ miles off shore. Wasn't sure we were going to make it.

Had a gun pulled on me in North BR (airport area) my freshman year. I didn't even have time to think so I floored it and sped away.
Besides that I've been pretty fortunate
