If i had a kids, I would just dominate them in everything from board games to horse.

Fast forward another 15 to 20 years and there is, at least for me, an absence of ways to fuel the competive spirit that still resides inside of me. My motivation to do much more than what is required is at an all-time low.
Congrats on growing up

Sounds like I am about 8-10 years older than you but when I around 40 I started running more seriously and entering races, trying to chase some of the times I used to run in my 20s. That worked for a few years, but eventually resulted in injury. I did crush my kids at every sport imaginable whenever I could. I think I enjoyed that more than they did. But now they are in their late teens and enjoying beating me a bit too much. Now, at 50ish, the competitive drive is being replaced by just being happy to stay fit and trim, though I guess that is a form of competition as well as I compare myself to age group peers.

Road cycling is what you are looking for

Golf is great if you can get into it. It's definitely not for everyone though.

I race road bicycles. Highly competitive and great fitness. You can also rustle jimmies when you are out on the road.

Powerlifting and strongman for me.
I played basketball through college and there was a void. Couldn't motivate myself to do regular workouts. Powerlifting and strongman gave me goals to compete with.
In adult life, pickup basketball takes a lot of time, but I can knock out a powerlifting/strongman session in my garage any time. It is my competitive outlet now.
