They don't want to have to drive your drunk arse home from Hooters.

Took a piss at Fat Harry's next to Morton Anderson when he was playing for the Saints.
At the office I whip it out as I round the corner to the urinal. Always a bit awkward when I see that it is occupied. Most men don't like the sound of a zipper behind them.

Have a 15 yr old Vizio that I used to carry out to the porch or set by the pool when I wanted. Redid my porch about a year ago and permanently installed it in the back corner. Does not get direct rain but plenty of heat and humidity. Still works great and have no issues with glare.

re: Massachusetts bans gas leaf blowers

I wish my neighborhood would ban them. I often sit on my porch on weekends and late afternoons on weekdays. I pretty much always hear a gas leaf blower somewhere, sometimes a block away. They are just too loud.
My dad kind of did that. Died of cancer 6 months after diagnosis. Left a $20,000 credit card balance in his name. But he spent it on medical bills and such. In that state, it was not a community debt but his estate did owe it. The house he owned with my mother was also shielded by law. The only thing in his own separate estate was a bunch of old junk. It was a pain for me to deal with though. I had to send proof of the estate assets to the credit card company, and then negotiated it down to about $3,000. The credit card company was actually pretty reasonable to deal with.

I would not do that to my kids/heirs, but he was not thinking very clearly.
Funny, I don't remember Times Picayune employees being raped and shot at that location even in the worst crime period in the early 90s. And now, Restaurant Depot, Home Depot, Zony Mash brewery, a gleeming new office building seem to do just fine for 10+ years despite your trepidation. The area is fine for commercial activity. Whether the business prospers will depend on the product.
I actually think this place will do quite well. Great visibility for tourists driving to downtown and Dome area. Top Golf does not look like it will happen. They are retrenching nationally and dragging their feet in NOLA.
Going tonight. Have not been in years but music lineup and rumors of more space intrigued me.
I had set not so much goals but expectations for myself. By 35 I was married, owned a house in the neighborhood where I'd grown up, had 3 kids and made partner in my firm. I could have said, "Well, it's all downhill from here." Or I could have kept thinking of milestones to hit, with an increase in pressure. Instead, I focused on what I had already built; primarily my marriage and my kids. Everything else was gravy. I've lived a happy, satisfied life.
This happened in Chalmette? I am shocked...shocked I tell you.

Mt Snowdon is a great 5 mile hike up, and if you continue on there are beautiful lakes and fewer hikers.
I miss it too. There are no funds allocated, just estimates of massive expense. Plus you have two states that both need to approve.
Call Schaeffer's, s block from Capt Sid. They will take your Saturday reservation now.
Trying to "Evil Kneivel" by peeing from the end of one long bathroom trough urinal into the other one. We were laughing it up too loud and the nun who was the principal yanked us outside. Was not suspended but had to kneel in the gravel asphalt yard in shorts for 45 min recess where principal could see us through her window. Would rather have been suspended.
Hollywood has lost its glamour. It's just not interesting to watch tone deaf industry members pat each other on the back, when not hectoring the general public to adopt their politics.
Don't you have a buddy or relative with a spare room where can crash for a couple of weeks while you figure it out? Hell, I'd sleep in my office before getting an ill conceived roommate.
Many places have one or two large Christmas markets. I've been to ones in Prague, Bruges, Paris, Reims. All nice. But Vienna was by far the best because in addition to the larger, more touristy market at the City Hall, there were about 8 smaller neighborhood markets that you run into just wandering the city. The smaller ones had a local feel, with neighbors and nearby office workers enjoying the season.l
Agree with all said here. I've been 3 times I guess. Very intimate, small and dark. A great place for a date night.
