The Saints are in a terrible position here
Last I heard UT had a seven figure NIL commitment for him

His bat skills are feast or famine and that’s not him.

He’s walked more than he has K’d over 3 seasons vs top competition. You will be hard pressed to find many other former Tigers that have done that over an 800 plate appearance sample size.

I’m not saying he will win a batting title but on the most basic level, his bat to ball skills are very solid.
quote:

he's been awesome at Kansas and it would be great if we could find a way to get him here next Spring.

He will be drafted high
That’s a lot of irrelevant word vomit

Also, like I stated earlier, If Jay wants a guy like Laskofski he will let a Texas school win the Watters sweepstakes. Not sure we will spend the $ to get both.

They need both

LSU in an alternate universe is a would be in a different place.

but you said it as an absolute

because it is true.

are you telling me you cant see the Milam is better at defense without looking at stats?

You are blind as a bat if not
quote:

did say that both were faster from home to first including

You were arguing something I didn’t post

Now whadda we do
Blue jays almost won the World Series with a 5’6” catcher
quote:

Milan doesn’t have the foot speed of Theriot, Fontenot or Smith from home to first.

Milam is a way better defender than Theriot or Fontenot.
quote:

The absolute worst player on the absolute worst team is still a baseball phenom.

Guys like Ryan theriot or Austin Nola weren’t phenoms. Hunter Feduccia was a nobody at lsu. Positional value matters. Luck matters. Intangibles matter.
quote:

because there are taller prospects that are just as good, or will cost them less hits on the plays that Milam might make that they couldn't

lol he makes a ton of plays taller players don’t. He’s been that good. The MLB is littered with short infielders.
quote:

It’s been talked about a good bit. He’s very short, his base running is lack luster and his bat needs work. Period. The biggest con he has is measurable. If you are going to be short you have to make up for it in every other measurable and he can’t.

Can’t believe this has 17 upvotes to 2 downvotes

He can and will play SS in professional baseball. His height isn’t a huge issue. Hitting for power with wood will be the biggest question he faces.

At the end of the day he walks more than he K’s(108:86), and has hit .305/410/514

This is much more well rounded player than you give him credit for. MLB teams yearns for guys that can play the position and be a hard out at the plate. He fits that bill.
