This match is drunk. Maignan is playing weird. I love it.

This french team have zero interest in defending. They’re just there to score goals
Rashford flashes like a top 3 player in the world. Too bad he can’t figure out the consistency part.
Jones and Morgan were better than Berry.

The French squad seem to agree with you. Looks like they wish they were there right now.
Rabiot better take pictures. I don’t think he will get many caps under Zidane.
Olise looks like he’d rather be anywhere else. Henry said the biggest issue with Olise, is Olise. Said he tends to lose interest, even in big games.

Looks like that mindset kicked in starting in the quarters for him.
France look like they’d rather be eating croissants on the Siene.

England not playing Kane or Bellingham, what fricking ****, those bitches are third place level, be grateful for what they earned and go get their second best medal

Decent chance the clubs called and told them not to play.

Only reason Mbappe is playing is to get the Golden Boot. He will get the all time goal record in 2030

No PGA, DPWT, Korn Ferry, Asian Tour, or LIV Golf player has been assessed a 2-stroke penalty since 2018 when Phil Mickelson at Greenbrier self-reported himself. Prior to that there isn't a single documented case in professional golf history of a two-stroke penalty being called against any player. Bryson is the first where any golf league has assessed a penalty for this.

Well, this actually explains Bryson’s reaction. Seems much more reasonable now.
It happens all the time without getting called, but it’s usually not in front of a camera that’s 5 feet away.

It’s not like he went and stood on the grass to flatten it, but he knew what he was doing. He probably gets away with it if he walks through once, maybe even twice. He went through 3 or 4 times though.

Nah

It all falls under the same rule buts it’s worded “improving you lie, area of stance or swing, or line of play.”

Stepping on that grass would be improving your area of swing, not the lie.

reverse the loop” with Jess Frank. It is 2 minutes.

This.

This move took me from a 10 down to a scratch at my lowest (a 2 now). To this day I still struggle with getting back over the top and that reversing the loop (especially the takeaway) is what gets me back to striking it better.

The whole area is thick tall grass. He lines his shot up and steps wide and around to avoid causing the ball to wobble in that tall shite

He didnt walk back and forth 15x to trample the area and he steps on rootball

It will be harsh if it gets called. I think what will get him isn’t improving his lie, but stepping on the grass that *could* have affected his backswing.

It’s definitely not outrageous to assume he was stepping there to make sure he didn’t cause the ball to move, but it’s still against the rules.

I’m torn on this but one thing is certain: Brandel and the elf’s opinion on this matter is as certain as the sun coming up tomorrow.

Yeah it’s borderline. You see it pretty often but it did look like he stepped on the stuff behind his ball that could catch his club a couple of different times.

That’s what will get him I think.

You see players do that all the time when they’re in the tall gunch. It is against the rules it just never gets enforced unless they go stomping around.

The domination was already happening before the substitutions.

Yes, but not before England scored. Up to that point England were the better team and deserved the lead. Argentina hadn’t done much at all.

After the goal England went into a defensive shell and were in straight up survival mode, which is crazy. What they were doing was working and kept Argentina from pressing too high.

England’s best chance was to keep attacking and try to win 2-1 or 3-2. Thinking they could hold a 1 goal lead was asinine. Argentina ALWAYS finds a way to net at least one.

And Argentina was clearly the better team in the first half

I’m not sure how you can claim this.

Trying to park the bus against Messi for 30 minutes just seems like a terrible idea.

I mean, who would want him constantly on the ball in your defensive 1/3?
