My wife watched it twice and didn't stay awake either time. I kind of watched, but it's not a well-built narrative in episode 1. Maybe something more comes of it, but the whacko friend who refuses to believe that the body was identified correctly makes it hard to take seriously.
Meanwhile, Rodie Sanchez still hasn't found that sonofabitch Robert.
I haven't even been to Supper Club. There's a certain pompousness to it that just doesn't interest me at all.
One could say that made the song even more ironic than it ever could have been otherwise.

At this point, LSU needs to file countersuit for damages, get the case moved to Louisiana federal courts, and rake the SEC leadership through the coals of RICO violations.

Someone mentioned -1.5g exerted by the ride. However, I don't think that's in addition to 1g counteracting actual gravity, so the actual acceleration is like 0.5g, so the force exerted on the restraint would be less than half of his body weight.

There was a situation about 15 years ago where Louisiana received a bunch of generators for similar reasons, but they never seemed to get installed. I'm not sure whatever came of that, but it was right up there with the formaldehyde trailers as far as FEMA frick-ups in Louisiana.

LA is way behind that.
You can thank the Louisiana Uniform Construction Code Council for ensuring that Louisiana doesn't improve. They fought for years against the 2009 energy codes with a return on investment of about 3 months. We're talking about changes that increase the cost of an average home by about $250, and they argued it was anti-business. A couple of years ago, they fought tooth and nail against including the requirement to build 2 feet above the 100-year base flood elevation. Of course, the worst one is named Randy.
Also, Louisiana is a home-rule state, meaning that our building code enforcement is done by local yokels, whereas the State of Florida oversees building codes from the state level.
