Would imagine there’s two love it sets; those who don’t put many hours on their boats and those who have the $$ to change it out every five years.

My offshore boat installed SeaDek in 2018 and it still looks brand new. I have not had any issues (knock on wood) with it popping up or breaking down. I just installed SeaDek on my bayboat a few weeks ago and the price had more than doubled from 2018. The cost was $6300.

Depending on what thickness, design, customization, and color it could be anywhere from $2500 to $7000 for a 21 ft bay boat.

I think the OT would benefit tremendously with the addition of a Boxing Board

So long as they don't frick with the Punta Mita resort I'll be okay with this but if this delays them building my new place I'm going to be pissed. They are already 36 months behind.

We were supposed to fly out tomorrow. As of now flights still showing good to go, but wife and I aren’t messing around with that. Trying to cancel resort…anyone have any luck or advice for how to extract a cancellation for situations like this? They’ve already taken ~33% of the total booking price.

This qualifies as a force majeure event (unforeseeable circumstances like civil unrest or security threats) under many booking policies, especially if the resort is in an affected area like Guadalajara or nearby. Hotels and booking platforms (e.g., Booking.com, Expedia, or direct) often allow full refunds or cancellations without penalty in such cases, particularly if backed by official travel advisories.

Here's a step-by-step approach based on standard practices:

(1) Review your booking terms: Check the cancellation policy on your confirmation email or the platform/app. Look for clauses on "force majeure," "civil unrest," or "government advisories." If it's non-refundable, these events can override that.

(2) Contact the hotel directly: Politely explain the situation, referencing the official US State Department advisory and airline cancellations. Provide links or screenshots of the warnings (e.g., from state.gov) and note that your flight is impacted or you're unable to travel safely. Emphasize that the violence is ongoing and unpredictable, making it unreasonable to proceed. Ask for a full refund or credit, and request a written confirmation if they agree.

(3) Escalate if needed: If the hotel pushes back, involve the booking platform (they often mediate). If booked via credit card, dispute the charge with your card issuer under "]services not rendered[/i]" or due to travel disruptions—many cards have built-in trip protection for this. If you have travel insurance, file a claim citing "civil unrest" or "evacuation advisory"; policies from providers like Allianz or World Nomads typically cover this.

(4) Document everything: Keep records of communications, news articles, advisories, and flight status to strengthen your case.

Violence by the cartels has spread all over the country. Mexico is now officially in a state of civil war.

Sean Strickland's take on the Nancy Gutherie kidnapping is hitting on all cylinders. :rotflmao:

The more that I think about it he needs to replace Mr. Wonderful and Scott Jennings. He would immediately bring ratings to CNN like they have never seen pure chaos before.

"Bad Bunny a f*ggot, criticized bringing in a gay foreigner who doesn’t speak English, and accused the NFL of trying to gay it up and ruin sports."

Prions are remarkably durable — they survive in soil for years, resist standard disinfection, and can be taken up by plants. So the concept that agricultural products could serve as a transmission vector isn't crazy on its face. And the broader point that regulatory focus falls disproportionately on hunters while largely ignoring agricultural pathways is worth examining. If contaminated feed were the primary driver, you'd expect a much more rapid and geographically scattered outbreak pattern, not the relatively slow, contiguous spread that's actually been documented.

re: Marco Rubio = the next POTUS?

Posted by MrLSU on 2/18/26 at 7:52 pm to
Trump praised both Vance and Rubio but declined to weigh in on succession. Meanwhile, at the Munich Security Conference, Vance last year gave a speech that was received as provocative, while Rubio delivered a similar message this year cushioned with more diplomatic finesse and got far better reviews on the world stage.

Rubio is functioning less like a traditional cabinet secretary and more like Trump's most visible, most trusted extension as the person carrying the Trump's agenda on the world stage, getting the face time, building his brand. Vance is constitutionally next in line, but Rubio is operationally closer to the center of gravity.

The president pulls him in for everything, when Trump likes you and trusts you, he loads you up. Marco is loaded up wearing four hats: Secretary of State, acting National Security Advisor, USAID acting administrator, and interim leader of the National Archives.

Yes. But he didn't have to appoint Barr as his AG

Trump didn't know Barr at all. It was Pat Cipollone and Laura Ingraham who pushed Trump to hire Bill Barr. Cipollone (White House Counsel) and Laura Ingraham worked under Barr in 1992-1993 as assistants to AG Bill Barr. This was the same Cipollone who turned on Trump prior to Jan 6th and who later joined Bill Barr at Barr's law firm, the Torridon Group.

Who told Trump to hire Cipollone as White House Counsel? Well the same Laura Ingraham whose emails characterized Trump's contesting the stolen 2020 election as "the Loser's strategy"and the man who Trump calls "a sleaze bag", Federalist Society's Leonard Leo. and a "bad person who, in his own way, probably hates America," Trump also accused Leo of controlling judges, giving "bad advice" on nominations, and "a bad guy" tied to foreign interests.

All four (Cipollone, Leo, Barr, and Ingraham) attend the same Opus Dei affiliated Catholic Church in DC called the Catholic Information Center.

Want to know who else is a member of the CIC? Larry Kudlow & Sam Brownbach are members who weren't invited back because Trump no longer trusts anyone associated with Opus Dei and the CIC. The only CIC member who is known to be serving in this administration is JD Vance who Trump has for all collective purposes sidelined in the last few months.
