Hoping my kids get to go to both LSU and Baylor games. Tech usually only takes Spirit to 1 away game a year. With those by 3 hours and 4 hours away, it might happen.

It’ll be easier next year, but this year it was definitely the toughest. Next year Peabody replaces Neville. So basketball gets better, football and baseball likely dip a tad in overall strength.

No forfeits. 1-4 in District, only beating Pineville. They were the #1 seed prior to entering district if that means anything.

Ruston 21-14 L
West Monroe 39-25 L
Neville 38-37 L
ASH 28-21 L

The only one that wasn’t “close” was West Monroe with another WM pick 6 being called back for a ref running into a radio media member. So you could say it should’ve been worse. That being said, Ouachita lead in the 4th quarter of that very game.

Since they were 7th graders this was always their most talented class. Then their QB and RB went to St Fred’s for 2 years. They returned the last 2 years and put it together in the playoffs to win by 3, 2, 6, 7, and 1. All 1 play games that they lost the last couple of years.

Gotta tip your cap for their play in the playoffs. They went on the road to #3, 6, 2, and 1 in the Dome and won them all. Truly earned that state title.

Why Jena stopped throwing to him I will never know.

Because Sterlington bracketed him the 2nd half. 12 in his face with Devyn Downs-LSU baseball commit-over the top.

They put 50 minutes on the clock between games.

Ehhhh. I could be on ND’s side if he took off running.

Winning is winning. Whatever it takes. If you can throw for 0 yards and win state, congratulations. As a WR coach, I’d take zero passes for a ring right now.

Without a kickoff return and a fumble inside the 5, the boring wing-t blows out a team with 500 yards.

Dang Mangham would’ve had 700 yards of offense without those two scores?

I wonder where that rumor came from… I’ve been hearing the opposite. Guess we will have to just wait and see.

And lost. The lesson? Flashy offense doesn't win championships. They gave up 4 TDs on defense and 2 on offense. Haynesville averaged 8 yards every time they snapped the football but nobody remembers that because they did it from the old boring wing t

Without 2 defensive touchdowns the old boring Wing T loses.

LHSAA app is free on TV. Just have to pay on mobile devices.

hey're really gonna charge $40 in the dome parking lot for this?

I want to say it was $50 last year. My dad's ticket was something horrendous too due to Ticketmaster fees. Blame the Dome. They charge the LHSAA 750K for 3 days.

West Monroe’s former HC Kevin Davis is the OL coach at Mangham. Pulling for KD always.

Depends on the teams involved imo. How many do you expect Saturday for Karr/St. Aug? I would expect people in the 3rd deck.

I realize this will vary from team to team but in general do the north LA teams come in the night before? Or make the drive on game day?

Ruston drove in last year and looked like they were sleepwalking the entire game. We played both teams and the Ruston in the Dome wasn't the same one we saw. I still had Central winning regardless, but I would think they drive in this year.

Pearson 13 free bases vs 6 hits. Weird

No, Brian Kelly is gone. LSU doesn’t take transfers from La. Tech, Southeastern, McNeese and Marshall anymore. We’ve seen time and time again how those guys pan out in the SEC. That’s why they are at those lower tier schools to begin with. Kiffin is and will only go after the most elite transfers from power 4 schools. And I thank God he is.

Paul Skenes was a catcher at Air Force...
Jakari Foster is the gem from Tech's defense in the portal. Lead the nation in interceptions.

ETA: Nevermind he's a senior. Fields had 3 picks and was Co Defensive Player in the CUSA. He's in the portal as well.
8 games make those wins only worth 14 points essentially due to someone has to win/lose. If you're unfortunate in either scheduling a team that under performs or God forbid actually lose a game or two, you have no chance at a bye. I understand why they wouldn't want to play 8 district games.
He didn’t drop the game winning touchdown.
