My company puts up traffic cameras that track vehicles, peds/bikes and their interactions. The video is just used to create reports for engineering models for safety and improvement projects.

The video is kept private and deleted after a number of months. We never even get asked for the video from any outside agencies, unless it happens to catch a wreck that's involved in a lawsuit.

Our technicians do occasionally get some unconstructive feedback from randos walking by while in the field.

They have some in some weird backroads near me that don’t have a lot of traffic. Odd for sure.

Don't worry about those pinpointed ads and data tracking.

That is a feature not a bug.

True. We have cams at all the entry points into the subdivision, they are not listed on that map. Plus, many people with doorbell cams are networked. These make it difficult to plan a hit.

I would like to see a route one could take (parts of it may not be in a vehicle) from coast to coast and never be spotted by a camera.

Interesting. Only 1 in my whole parish. And it happens to sit on undeveloped commercial property I own, pointing along the highway.

Figure out which officials authorized these things and then FOIA all the information these cameras have collected on them in particular.

This is not an accurate map. I know of one right by my house that isn’t on this map.

Also have constitutional rights against illegal search and seizures.

I wonder if "you aren't doing anything wrong" is a legal defense in those cases.....

There are multiple cameras around both home Depot and Lowe's in towns around me in Texas.
Maybe they are paying for some of it.
Cameras pointed at their parking lots.

They can track me all they want to. Just a big waste of time. I lead a boring life.
