I'm not sure how we can argue that the trades vs accountants have better career prospects. It will be the new reality at some point. We'll still have accountants, just like 70% less of them. Same for my job I suspect

I fed ChatGPT my finances for the month of June I just wanted to see its capability for the most part and I think you are correct about this. The future is definitely in labor.
This isn't about this trial, but since I can't start threads and this trial painted a not so pretty sterotype of the police in Boston and in the Boston area, I figured I would post this here.

That's about 55 pesos.

I asked ChatGPT what can 55 pesos buy in Mexico. It said it depends on the region, etc, etc but in general that can get you a candy bar and a soda.
Just a FYI in case no one mentioned it.. If at all possible, always get 3 estimates. Someone once told me to get 3 estimates and go with the bid in the middle, but reading this thread... There are some real shite bags out there who try to suck every penny they can out of people. I don't see how people like that stay in business for a long time.

When I was young, I think when I turned 18 I joined the Knights of Columbus. It might have been 10 years later when I decided not to renew my membership. I got a call from some guy who sold insurance and wanted to come talk to me about renewing my membership and offering me some type of insurance I could only get being a member. The guy pleaded with me and asked if he could come talk to me in person. I remember telling him something like "I can assure you that us meeting in person will not change my mind, but if you want to waste your time sure".

Guy comes over and he gives me his spiel and I told him that I told him on the phone I had no interest and I didn't change my mind. That guy snapped, he went from being this jolly older guy to trying to manipulate me. He said something like "I drove here from Lafayette and now I have to go back in all of that traffic and for what? You are making a mistake and just to let you know, once I get in my car you will never get a deal like this again".. He was just throwing shite out and came off like he was pissed. I laughed and told him he should be mad at himself because I assured him I wasn't going to get the insurance".

I find it amusing when sales people get pissed.. Like.. How dare you tell them no.

That's product. I am sure it wouldn't be that hard to find someone who would be willing to buy then flip.

I read the short article on BASL... it is ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous.

Someone told me awhile back that the "deaf community" is a difficult bunch, Evidently there is an organization of some type that tells the deaf people they are in contact with that they are being denied if places don't have someone who can sign language available... Even if there are other ways for them to communicate like using something text based, etc so if I had to guess, that's probably whats going on.

The organization sounds more like a union for people who sign language (and work jobs doing so).
