re: When did you/your kids stop believing in Santa?

but kids now are believing well into middle school.
It looks like this is an unpopular opinion, but middle school is too damn old for kids to believe in Santa. I know there is something innocent about kids believing in Santa, but middle school is what? 6th grade? It seems selfish to let them believe past a certain point. They will be in 10th grade and be 2 or 3 years removed from believing in Santa.
I know things change and kids are believing in Santa longer, but that doesn't seem like the best way to gain trust in your kids.. "they lied to me for the first 10 years of my life, you expect me to believe everything they tell me?"
Was he the top or bottom?
re: National Cathedral being broadcast nationally with a female priest overseeing Christmas.

A friend was telling me he went to mass last night. He and his family are one that only go during the major events.. Christmas, Easter. maybe one time during the summer. And the priest said something like "Tonight we welcome everyone, including those who only attend a few times a year. We were operating with a negative balance at one point in the year, so while you are here throw some shuckles in the collection plate".

While no doubt schizophrenia is a very real and very serious mental illness, this feels like laying the foundation for the rich Hollywood version of “he wuz a gud boy, he dindu nuffin!”
I think I read he lived in a place behind his parents that they gave him and they also gave him $10k a month? That level of entitlement along with mental issues.. They created a monster.

Someone told me that wives running around while the husband is working shift work has been the cause of a lot of operators to lose their job.
When its 11PM on a Friday and people are texting them they just saw their wife out and when he text and/or calls she isn't answering, some dudes lose their minds and just up and leave to go find their wife which usually results in them getting fired.

Fix yourself a hotty toddy.
Its good to hear this. Showing your employees you appreciate them goes a long way.
When I was growing up people would get fireworks for Christmas.. Or get money and then go buy fireworks so Christmas night there were always people shooting fireworks.
It seems like its been awhile since I heard kids shooting fireworks on Christmas night. Fireworks used to be like gold growing up. In fact one Christmas night I had a jumping jack go into my jacket and it burned a hole in my brand new spuds mckenzie sweatshirt.

I went to public school, if you still believed in Santa in 2nd grade you got beat up.
I don't usually find things "hard to watch", but for some reason that one made me feel uneasy.
When the guy got right upon the scene and the dog was gripped on.. Probably because it was a kid, but that video shows exactly why they should be illegal. A dog bite is one thing. A dog, with a lot of muscle, biting and holding on with the instinct to use its muscles to tear whatever they gripped, apart is another thing. And that dog looks like it was on a leash.
There needs to be laws that make it hard for people to own this breed.

Remember the state quarters?
I found a map I had that had a slot to put the state quarter for each state and it was missing 18 states. I took the $18 worth of quarters and used them.

I don't think I shared this one for the Thanksgiving one. Its my family, but I wasn't there.
Two of my uncles live several roads over from each other. One of them has some health issues, but there is history between the two that involved the sick uncle's ex wife.
Sick uncle couldn't pull up his pants a few days before thanksgiving so he called his brother and asked him to come help. The brother he called told him "call exwifesname to come help you" and hung up on him..
At Thanksgiving his sisters was telling him you help out family no matter what and he should be ashamed of himself, etc. It turned into a big deal with items in the house getting thrown and my uncle (not the sick one) being told to leave and then him fixing a plate before leaving and his sisters trying to take the plate he fixed, from him, but instead of blocking the way to the door, he had a clear path to split with his food and them chasing after him and then throwing shite at his truck as he was leaving.

re: Tough time of the year for some people

Christmas isn't the excitement it used to be, for me.
My dad passed away a long time ago, in 1998. And that sort of shifted things around for Christmas and that changed family dynamics a little bit, but it was just different.
This year will be my mom's last Christmas and she can't do anything now. I used to look forward to the pumpkin bread she made every year.. And her gumbo was really good and not having that has just made things not feel like Christmas along with the weather.
With that said, no matter what we are dealing with someone always has it worse and if you ever have an opportunity to make someone's Christmas better you should absolutely do it.

Please.. This only happened to you once?
I only see it when I look at Twitter. There are post I probably miss, I don't go and look at what he post, but I have no problem with him being an open book.
Now if it hurt recruiting and he isn't winning games it would be a different story, but knowing he is in a coaches group text with Kirby Smart, Sark, etc sometimes I could picture him telling them "watch what I tweet about next" and then they all laugh depending on how people respond to it.
But the good think about it, you can control what you see. You can not go on X, you can hide him or unfollow him and then its not in your face. Its definitely not forced on you.

Are you able to get a job doing the same thing that will pay you the same amount and and not cap you? Are you able to get a job, doing something else, where you can earn what you earn now? You can either go to another job or stay where you are and consider the "work for free" part as part of the job.
That would piss me off. How hard is it to be a decent person? You helped him out so he steals your battery jumper. Unappreciative people is a pet peeve of mine.
