Tracking your movements and keeping a recorded record without probable cause should be. Recording people for commercial profit is also illegal.
Too many people are willing to give up their rights so other can profit so this is where we end up.

The has been a big populist push to sign up for more big government to protect the public. Maybe it is Russian/China bots that have been able to weave this narrative into society.
Hard to believe 5 years ago we saw government overreach single out individuals and threaten to fine and punish them for congregating. Now we have people asking to make it easier by siding with these cameras.

Our city government is suing to keep local journalists from requesting information and video from them on the premise of “safety”.
It’s a full on fricking coordinated surveillance effort. That should bother more people.
