You are partially right.

It has been noted that it is illegal, which is not true in a significant number of states (Texas is one), and while it can cause dangerous confusion, it is also true that it makes cars much more visible.

What we really need is the rear rain/fog light, which is found on European cars. It is a single center red light that does not blink; it is brighter than tail lights (similar to a brake light). It makes cars much more visible without the confusion.

As a child, we were told you can't swallow your gum as it would stay with you for 7 years.

6 feet of physical separation does not transmit the "virus", yet 5'-11" is bad.

Last year I was in Shanghai and Beijing. I saw them. All of them. Every train station I entered. Probably closer to 2 billion! Kidding.

How did you land to be uncertain about 1.4 bln and certain of 980 mln starting point?

You really think that oil only comes from dinosaurs and not other decomposed organic materials trapped under sediment?

I realize the claim isn’t just dinosaurs but it is the image always thrown out whenever an educational film is made on oil. Remember Ellen DeGeneres and the dinosaurs exhibit at Epcot? There are theories that oil is produced from other processes. 40,000 feet below the ocean floor is pretty deep even for algae and plankton.

The Fossil Fuel View vs. The Abiotic View

Mainstream Fossil Fuel Theory: Oil comes from ancient marine microfossils (like plankton and algae) that settled on the ocean floor millions of years ago, buried under sediment, and were "cooked" by heat and pressure.

Abiogenic Hypothesis: Oil is primordial material. Proponents argue that carbon is naturally present deep inside the Earth and hydrocarbons are continuously regenerated, meaning reserves would not be strictly finite.
