How do you dispose of those batteries when they die?

Drop the dead batteries off at the governors mansion and at the state capitol building. Additional drop off sites are the homes of the bill sponsors and any home owned by the Kardashians.

This is the same reason some idiots in Oregon didn’t want the state to finally allow people to pump their own gas.

“I don’t want to smell like gas all day”

Bitch, you don’t pour it on yourself.

That painfully stupid.

If someone doesn’t stay perfect scheduled on their yard, an electric mower isn’t gonna be able to handle thicker grass

Battery lawn equipment is complete junk. I bought a battery powered weed eater several years ago. It cost me the same as a gas one, but then I had to buy a spare battery because they don’t last. And it doesn’t have anywhere near the power of gas.

I’ve been using a battery powered trimmer and blower for the last 10 years. Bought one replacement battery in that time.

Very convenient IMO

Commercial lawn care exempted from this proposed law? I can’t see how’d they be able to run fully electric machines every day.

He may be thinking of two stroke engines. Those are nasty buggers.

I have two of them, a trimmer and a blower. My yard is too big/hilly for electric, but my mower is 4 stroke. Hard to imagine it's worse than an F150.

I just got a 300 dollar E-go blower. It is heavy. It is powerful and convenient for quick jobs, and frankly could probably replace my gas blower. But the gas blower is still more powerful. Still the e-go is more handy in the shop..just pick it up, pull the trigger, no fumes, etc.

An hour of exhaust from a lawn mower is equivalent to driving an F150 for a full tank of gas. Backpack blowers are much worse. I’m all about switching to electric lawn and garden equipment. Plus you don’t smell like fumes while you enjoy a cold one after yard work.

Hate is a really strong word, especially for someone you don’t know.

But I think I hate you.

I have an electric leaf blower. It's powerful enough, and it gets the job done. The annoying thing is when it's charged full power, I only get about 25 minutes of use before the battery is dead.

No way would I use battery equipment for a lawn mower.

Doesn't California already have rolling power grid black or brown outs due to electricity production not meeting demand?
So the logic is to put additional strain on the system and to continue to stranglehold electricity production by regulation.
Don't forget they passed or proposed strictly electric autos too.

So that Fire Starting electric company, that's unable to supply power periodically, is now going to be providing power for the millions of lawn care equipment too.

Appropriate gif is appropriate.

Leaf blowers are illegal in Los Angeles.. Commercial lawn care workers ignore this and police don’t do anything about it.

If commercial lawn care companies, mostly Hispanic workers, probably illegal, are not examples, things could get interesting. The people willing to get up in the morning and bust arse to earn a living will be punished.

And where will the old batteries go? They’ll end up in the same place where construction debris ends up now - in illegal dumps on the side of roads and highways.

The big bogeyman emissions from an internal combustion engine is co2. Passenger vehicle and industrial emissions are orders of magnitude higher than emissions from lawn equipment for obvious reasons. Of course the bill sponsor is a green jihadist so she can justify this. Out of all the problems the state has this one doesn't rate as a problem.

It's cute you think progressives give a shite about second and third order consequences. Or even have the ability to consider them.
