Well this thread fell apart

Not sure if mentioned yet but the song at the end was sung by Ashley Johnson who played Ellie in the game.

Was finally able to watch it and I thought it was extremely well done. The shite going on Jackson felt more like an episode of Game of Thrones before season 8 and we get to see Tommy being a total badass. Infected had always been a pretty massive threat but this episode they felt more like the 28 Days Later zombies also bloaters are always a nightmare

As for the death of Joel man was it brutal as frick. I knew it was coming but damn did it still disturb me especially given how she tortures Joel is a tad different. I know some may hate the idea of a main character getting such a brutal death but I'll remind them that this in fact a brutal world where not everyone is going out like a badass. And Joel made a lot of enemies throughout his life his actions just finally caught up to him. At least he was a badass till the bitter end telling Abby to go frick herself.

Dever is also knocking it out as Abby her speech to Joel and just everything leading up to that was done phenomenally well. I'd like to point out that she mentions that she was 19 when Joel killed her dad the same age Ellie is now losing Joel. One of the many parallels the two have.

Would like to talk about that scene more but that would require game comparisons

Low effort trolls ruined a good portion of the other thread and sure enough a couple already found their way here.

This episode is one that has got the most praise from reviewers as well as being directed by the guy who directed the Succession episode Connor's Wedding which is often called one of the best episodes of television in recent memory do with that as you will

Happens every generation now I'm starting to here this from people my age and I'm here thinking y'all sound just like the older generations. Plenty of great bands and artists are still coming out the main difference is the way we consume music. It's no longer from CDs or whatever is being promoted on the radio or MTV. Streaming music has opened up a bunch of new possibilities for artists but social media has also encouraged labels to prop up single artists over bands because they're more likely to go viral on TikTok and it's overall cheaper to promote just one single pop star than a whole band
