Some people probably won’t like that episode, but people like me who think “Honeydew” was elite TV should love it

Episode 2 was another intense one. So much screaming and F bombs

Episode 4 has a guest star that made me smile so hard. Didn’t see that coming.

Just started a rewatch before moving on to S3.

The end of the first episode, Richie pushes Carmy to make spaghetti and gives him a handful of cans of tomato sauce. Carmy starts to open a can, gets pissed, and throws it in the trash.

I don't remember if the big cans or the little cans have the money in them, and it's hard to tell which sized can it was in the scene, but he may have thrown away a decent chunk of change.

Not really.

Agreed. My least favorite episode of all three seasons so far. Just not my cup of tea.

Great first episode

Whole thing felt like a prologue.

SLIGHT SPOILER

I wasn’t expecting to see Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross listed in the credits as composers. It made sense that the music sounded like a Nine Inch Nails instrumental.

They came out swinging. Just give them the Emmy now. Sucks to be an actual comedy again this year.

You just gave me flashbacks to when I was 10 and visiting my grandparents.

I think everyone has similar stories. I'd spend three weeks every summer at my grandparents just south of Jackson. Kind of like an extended vacation for my parents every year apparently.

Anyway, they'd send me out into the pecan orchard every day in the heat to pick up pecans with those little wire nut picker uppers for an hour or two, then lay into me for being a lazy retard when I'd only return with two five gallon buckets full.

Awesome to see Daniel and Daniel Boulud make an appearance on the show. Wife and I used to go there once a year before we had too many kids. Probably the best restaurant I have been and definitely the most expensive.

There was also René Redzepi from Noma in Copenhagen, probably the world's highest acclaimed chef.

So much so that it got to be annoying and boring. Honestly the first 2 episodes have been a let down, IMO and not really looking forward to episode 3. For those that liked them, to each their own.

On a side note, I too spent hours filling the bucket shelling peas on my grandparents back porch, and those were happy times. There was nothing in the first episode that reminded me of those happy time. The episode was depressing and drawn out. Seemed more like filler to me.

I was asking myself why I love this show so much because it gives me so much anxiety

I'm in the same boat

Carmy is a very pretentious and miserable person to be around. He is terrible.

But I love the show.

First episode was incredible.....fantastic storytelling with minimal dialogue. Camera work and musical score 10/10. Acting and storytelling with such little dialogue. . .man, you gotta trust your script, your actors, and your team....but they knocked it out the park

Are they finally back in the restaurant? I liked season 2, but I really missed the actual restaurant cooking scenes.

A lot of cooking in Ep 3. But take your blood pressure meds before watching.

Binging the season today. Currently watching episode 7. So far it’s incredible. The acting, the storyline, everything.

Slight spoilers…

So far…Besides one or two episodes, not a ton of cooking involved. I know that’s what drew a lot of people into the first two seasons

Jamie Lee Curtis and Abby Elliot are really good in this season

Why? She’s the exact opposite of a diversity character. Excellent character all around. One of my favorite parts of the show.

Hopefully it's better than that trash that was season 2. Get back to the cooking and the food

Not sure what you were watching, but the last 3-4 episodes of season 2 might have been the best thing on TV in the last 5 years or longer.

Watched 2 episodes last night, 1-2 more tonight. I wish they didn’t release them all at once so it would last longer.

I agree. I liked the series but I kind of like the weekly release.
