re: We peaked as a society in the 80s

And culture is heavily influenced by demographics. 80's culture was great (as was the 90's), but demographics plays a big part in the 80's memberberries.

Impulsive, Release Me, and You're in Love were all pretty big hits.
He also saved money by getting Sean Payton to buy a bunch of tickets for his family/friends and never paid him back.

His name was Tanden, and you better show him some fricking respect or prepare to knuckle up at Sonic.

They just built a new office building near the Huey P.
And all of you dipshits on this forum said that we wouldn't address the center position. And my sources tell me that the Pels have been talking to Mbenga about returning, so we're actually going to have depth at the 5.
Cool link.

My grandfather started a business in the mid 50's. He expanded in the 60's which required a new warehouse in the Elmwood area. A tornado knocked out the new warehouse (I believe before it was finished being built), but my family couldn't remember the year. That website solved the mystery for us (1964). It was an F2.

There's another smaller one in the same area that happened in 2017. I remember video of that one. It knocked a train off of the Huey P Long bridge near Bloomfield (close to where Houston's, Canes, and the like are located).

Imogene Pass. A wee bit hair raising.

My a-hole was puckered up on the regular roads from Silverton to Durango. I heard it gets shadier north of Silverton, so no thanks.
Playstation Store is about to remove a bunch of movies that people have purchased, so not sure why it's a laughable thought.

I watched it a few weeks back and really liked it. Had a very Zucker/Abrahams/Zucker feel to it.

Pels drafted some dude Jaron Pierre

A second Pierre on the squad.

I don't know anything about him, or if he's still on the team or immediately getting traded for something. I'm not even sure if I give a shite.

From ESPN:

quote:

Pre-Draft Analysis
Strengths: Pierre is a smooth shooting guard who can score at all three levels. He also has some secondary playmaking ability.

Weaknesses: He lacks an elite offensive skill and isn't a standout ball handler or defender.

The verdict: Pierre piqued NBA interest with flashes of offensive talent. The question is whether his secondary skill set will develop enough to help him stick on a bench. -- Woo

Post-Draft Analysis
The Pelicans had been rumored to trade into the draft in recent days, but they wound up sticking here and making Pierre their only selection. He has some scoring talent, but he wasn't the most consistent college performer, making him a likely G League developmental player. -- Woo

I'll agree with those saying it's probably too risky of a degree to get right now. Construction management might be a decent minor to pair with it. If he doesn't have any luck with the programming side, that pairing should be attractive to IT/AV contractors. He wouldn't be making bank, but he would definitely be comfortable.

It would be rigorous, but I suspect that CS paired with chemistry could open up some niche opportunities in semiconductors that will pay EXTREMELY well.

I would have never thought to buy an Amazon speaker/soundbar, but RTINGS is pretty reliable and said that the Fire soundbar + sub was one of the best in the price range (~$400). I've been really happy with it.

I need another soundbar for my bedroom, and the "Fire TV Soundbar Plus" is at the lowest price ever ($144), so I'll give that one a shot. I've sat out Prime days for the past 3-4 years, so I'm surprised that they got me this time.

JBL Flip

Seconded. I've had one for maybe 3 years now, and it's significantly better than any that I've had before in a similar price range.
My source says that he's in town and just put in an offer for Albert Haynesworth's old house.

Looks like a younger Rhea Seehorn here (not so much in the other pics)
