What is with the people in this thread and their strange hate of this woman?

I genuinely have no answer to this other than some deep spiritual rot of the soul. I don't know if any political event has affected me more than the public execution of her husband, so maybe I have an irrational need to defend her. But I can't see any other reason than something very spiritually dark at play. It's completely gross to me.

Maybe she's just addicted to the money and control of a huge company like TPUSA. Maybe she's a lizard person.

Or maybe, just maybe, she loved the person she married and wants to see the thing he died for move forward. Nah, lizard person is probably more likely.
quote:

But, I do recognize she's never been that person. She's lived very publicly for a long time, I don't think she knows any other way, and she's just probably not wired to go do what we think is normal/wise here. I hope she's not suffering too much on account of staying in the middle of all this.

Could it also be that her reasons for doing this stem more from wanting to make sure her husband's legacy goes on, more than just a selfish desire for the spotlight? My default position is almost always for a mom to stay at home with her kids (I have sacrificed so my wife could), so I am sympathetic to that argument. But Damn this widow is under an amount of scrutiny that I find truly appalling.

Why the frick is she not at home with her kids? Why is she going to that dinner in the first place? She comes off extremely disingenuous and rehearsed.

Using AI over the last month, her public appearances include:

1. Introducing Trump at a TPUSA event.
2. 2 or 3 Appearances on Fox News.
3. The Correspondence Dinner.

Do you think it is possible with that schedule to spend a lot of time with her kids? I do.

Genuine question. Where are you seeing her that much? I follow a lot of conservative media, and I just don't think I see her that much. It's not like she has a daily podcast. She goes days without posting on Twitter. I see her popping up at a TPUSA event here and there, and that is about it. Unless you have access to her daily schedule, I think your claim is pretty dumb.
Reminds me of that line from Denzel in Man on Fire: “I got plenty of time. You don’t, but I do.”
How old are you? My son is in college and all his friends will believe any conspiracy theory thrown out there. I have a theory that since many conspiracy theories were found to be true when they were coming of age that they have become retardidly gullible on that front.
I feel like I have lived through two cultural peaks in my lifetime. 1985 then 1995. Something about those years seems to stand out.
He is possibly my favorite American from my lifetime. His Biography should be required reading. If he weren't conservative, everyone would have to admit his ascension is one of the greatest examples of the American dream ever.
When will they learn not to pick fights with the people who could potentially fill the seats for their movie?

This right here. I stopped listening before she turned on Trump. Her refusal to take up for the accusations against Charlie Kirk's widow sealed it for me. In fact, I now dismiss the views of anyone who casts shadows on a bereaved widow. I have only so many minutes in the day, I am not giving a second to someone who entertains Candace's nonsense.
It was tough to process when I realized at 45 or so that I was several years older than Tommy Lee Jones when he played Captain Call on lonesome dove.
The Madison is off to a good start. I don’t think it would be served at all being drawn out though. Does anyone know how long its supposed to go.

re: Are cats underrated pets?

I lost my 15 year old dog this past fall. We have another dog but it hates me and constantly acts like I’m going to kill my wife and daughters at any moment. All that to say we have a two year old cat that’s pretty dang cool and I’ve realized my favorite pet at the moment is a cat. Not sure what to think about that. We have another older cat that causes nothing but problems and I kind an of hate it. But yeah, the younger car is pretty great and is one of the least burdensome animals I’ve ever owned. He provides some laughs and asks very little of us in return.
I will play. If a muslim regime took over my country and held the American people hostage for half a century, I would 100% be thankful for a foreign power coming in and weakening their hold.

Is this the only show in TV history that at least some of the same cast has participated in that’s 25 years between 1st season and last season?

I think Frazier would fall in that category.

I’m pretty sure after he blew his brains out that his movement fell apart pretty quickly. These two are not the same.
Can you post your three favorite movies over the last decade, just so we can have a bearing on your taste? I am dumbfounded.

Yeah. The only thing I can think of is that there is some pretty intense scenes in there, but I don't see anything that would be harmful to a child. The child might get bored or not like it I guess, but that shouldn't warrant PG-13.

The only thing I could think of was the dead bodies of the other astronauts.

I don’t get all the “ great” reviews I see online. It was one of the worst movies I’ve seen in the last decade

Good grief. It is one thing to say you don't like it. I disagree, but it's fine if it isn't your thing. But when compared to the slop Hollywood has been dishing out over the last decade, it is hard for me to take this as a genuine statement and not some pursuit to be some kind of edge lord.

Well it sounds like they may develop another one.

I can see potential for a sequel here, but man, I hate that when something is good, it gets squeezed for $$$. It almost always ends up being a disappointment and spoils the original work somewhat.
