I'm with you on this one. I've tried it twice, and it just didn't take.

Same with Big Lebowski. I laughed a few times and I love the Cohen brothers.

I’ve tried three times I guess I just don’t get it

The Joker (2019). It was good, sure. But it was jizzed over practically universally. And I enjoyed it much more when I first saw it when it was named Taxi Driver.

Did you watch it in the theater, because if you didn’t, as Quentin Tarantino puts it, you got a handjob instead of a threesome.

99% of Woody Allen films. The guy just pumps out mediocre movies non stop and they all get love by critics because, umm, it's Woody Allen!

Yeah, it’s Woody Allen in general. Annie Hall is bar none the most overrated film of all time. And while I hate Woody Allen as a person, I think I can look past that given I’m a big fan of Roman Polanski’s films.

Woody Allen has been nominated for Best Original Screenplay more than double the next closest guy, which is fricking absurd. This guy could just shart all over a piece of paper and he will get nominated for that award. I’ve never found Woody Allen to be funny, insightful, or talented. His success I’ll never understand.

I actually agree with you on this one. The concept is funny, the cast is funny, but the movie really isn’t.

Pretty Woman.

Even as a romance fantasy, the premise is completely absurd on every level.

I'll always defend this. How is it goofy? They have had computers connected to that thing for decades, so why would it not be able to be hacked or given a virus?

Actually, the argument could be the aliens hacked into our system first to utilize our satellites. Is it inconceivable to think that whatever code they used to do that, Goldblum figured it out and used it against them?

Pulp Fiction. Downvote away

Tarantino in general tries way too hard to be both edgy and artistic. The result is what you'd get with a 19 year old fan boy of both Stanley Kubrick and Tim Burton, and the film is neither nearly as beautiful or edgy as he thought

There Will Be Blood is massively overrated.

This board seems to love The Sandlot. I've never gotten the appeal. Like someone noted for the Goonies and other coming of age tales, I guess you just had to be a certain age range when the movie came out for it to hit the nostalgia nerve.

Also, the majority of comic book movies.

Magnolia is easily PTA's greatest movie if he removes "The Worm" scenes and the singalong

Reservoir Dogs. One guy loved it and showed it to 3 of us. The three of of hated it. Way too much talking in this movie!
