Dunkirk

Beautifully shot but in so many ways it felt like it was stuck in between gears the whole film and never really engages. I felt no connection whatsoever to any of the characters or with what was going on, on screen.

This.

I'm a fan of war movies and Dunkirk is just completely disconnected and boring.

It's the greatest sin in movies.

You can't make the plot...just history... And then that becomes your main character.

Plus the movie was ear piercing. The dialogue was soft in the theater, could barely hear and then bullets rain down and it goes to an 11.

Nolan has a fricking horrible history in not understanding how sound works in movies and torturing audiences....is he fricking with us? Is this some Andy Warhole experiment? Every fricking movie he does there's a sound issue.

I've never understood the cultish following of this movie. I though it was one of the worst movies I'd ever watched.

I watched Pulp Fiction for the first time last night.

What. The. frick.

How is this considered one of the top movies of all time by so many people? It was about nothing, says nothing and makes you feel nothing. I watched to the very end waiting for some amazing twist of the stories intertwining that made this peoples favorite all time movie. I don’t even understand what the intertwined storylines had to do with each other. How this movie is universally lauded as an all time great is beyond me. Other than the action that was there because Quentin Tarantino the movie and dialogue was so boring and at the end I wanted my 2+ hrs back.

Eta looked back thru thread and see Pulp Fiction has been mentioned and downvoted heavily, but the only responses agree with post. Exactly what I thought. The movie is indefensible. The only thing I can figure is that people say they like it to be trendy b/c Tarantino

This is exactly what I think about 1917

Yep. I was thinking of including 1917 but the all in one shot appearance was pretty impressive and kept the momentum going. I dont really have any desire to watch it again but I at least enjoyed the one time viewing experience...unlike Dunkirk.

That movie is fricking horrible. Wish I could get the time and money back I spent watching it in theatre.

My vote goes to Logan. I loved all of the Wolverine movies up to that one, but Logan just bored me to death. I don't get the love for it.

Oh man this is a really good answer.

Whoever said Slumdog Millionaire that's an excellent answer too. That movie was mother fricking horse shite.

I enjoyed and appreciated both but I can rewatch 1917.

My son is 15 and I’m letting him into a few different R movies and I appreciated it more upon second viewing.

A Christmas Story

Didn’t to come an end soon enough. As Holiday movies go, zero stars.

After I posted that I realized I like Trading Places.

Saying that, Aykroyd is the weakest part of the cast. I really don't like his style at all and don't find him all that funny.

The three you listed I don't care for much although Ghostbusters has it's moments. Mostly due to Bill Murray.

Finally A Titanic. I've hated that movie since the first day it came out. "Ohhhh you have to see it, it's so great" I used to ask if the ship sill hits an ice beeg and sinks causing lots of deaths." They always would answer me that it wasn't the point. I was like, they already have like 5 movies about it. Does the boat not sink this time?

Besides Billy Zane is the hero in my book....just out of spite for DiCaprio.
