I just looked it up and he missed only 3 games due to a concussion.
He did miss 28 games in a row for a toe injury (same season)
You probably would have remembered that if it were not for all of your concussions
All of this is correct

This tells me you're going to get scammed by AI pretty soon if you haven't already.
quote:
Not defending BI but per Google, you do not have to hit your head hard—or at all—to sustain a concussion. Concussions are caused by any bump, blow, or jolt to the head or body that causes the brain to move rapidly within the skull, often resulting from whiplash, falls, or sudden rotational forces.
No I wasn't even trying to say that he technically didn't get a concussion. If they wanted to rule it as a concussion, fine. I've had numerous concussions, they are not fun at all. The last one being a very very bad one in a side by side accident where I went head first into a tree. Even though I am not a pro basketball player, safe to say my concussion was quite a bit worse than Ingrams and I was cleared to go back to work after leaving the ER. There is no way in the wrold he should have say out for 3 weeks for that concussion.
A player that wanted to be on the court, would have been back on the court. Brandon Ingram just wanted to sit out. That's not a reach to say.

I know this wasn't directed at me but I clicked on the link just to see. Again, this isn't helping your case.

she became the first woman to play as a regular on an American major-level professional baseball team[1][2] when she joined the Indianapolis Clowns in the previously all-male Negro leagues.
Ok ok.
quote:
For the 1953 season, Stone was signed by Syd Pollock, owner of the Indianapolis Clowns, to play second base, the position Hank Aaron had played for the team before joining the Milwaukee Braves (now the Atlanta Braves). Pollock reportedly was trying to hire Stone for the Indianapolis Clowns since the close of the 1950 baseball season.
Nice! This chick is for real.
quote:
Other reports are that Pollock wanted Stone to play in a skirt or in shorts, and she refused,[11] though she did wear a foam rubber chest protector.[24] Pollock was a partner in several business ventures with Abe Saperstein, owner of the Harlem Globetrotters, and also one of the co-founders of the West Coast Negro Baseball Association.[19][25] Similar to the trick basketball team, The Clowns both provided clown-style entertainment at games and played serious ball. Having a woman on the team attracted more spectators
Ahh. There it is.

I literally already laid out how it could happen. There's a girl on the US women's rugby team that's 6'1 200 lbs, was on a volleyball scholarship before converting to rugby and sprints the same speed as an average MLBer(27 ft/s). You have a girl with that frame lifting consistently from age 12-25 and she'll be just as strong as your typical major leaguer. An equivalent male lifting seriously will obviously be stronger, but your average MLBer isn't putting in that much work in the weight room. Add in the generational hand-eye coordination and the athleticism gap is pretty much closed for baseball. Now add in their dad being a college level coach that is dedicated to developing their potential as a baseball player from t-ball age and you're cooking
Also frick everyone, there are already women playing in international minor leagues.

2nd girl throws 86 MPH, that's faster than Moyer over his last decade
And there were women that played in the Negro leagues
This is all good and all. But "A physical freak of nature woman could possibly make it aas a bottom dweller niche position MLBer" is not meeting the OP's point at all.
quote:
Got me to thinking if there is any sport where you can adjust the conditions for the legitimate differences in physiology and still see reasonably even comparisons of skill.
I disagree with your point that a woman could ever make it in the bigs but even if I agreed, you're making a completely different argument. There is not an even remotely even comparison of skill. It would take by your example a freak of nature that apparently needs to lift weights from from the age 12 on tand add in generational coordination and having a coach since t-ball and she could maybe, maybe, in a dream scenario she could be a pinch hitter.
That's not legitimately pitting men vs women in baseball

Rocky isn't some hidden plot twist he is an integral part to 85% of the story
Eh. He's integral obviously but I'd disagree with the hidden plot twist. Rocky is first seen in chapter 10 of a 29 chapter book. So a 1/3 of the ay through before you get him.
Either way, it's the decision they went with so it is what it is, if it brings in more people to the theatre I'm fine with it. But I say that as someone who was legitimately very surprised when he was revealed in the book so that was a big highlight for me so I'm personally glad I read it first.

I know this wasn't directed to me but out of The Martian, PHM, and Artemis, Artemis was my least favorite by a long shot. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't nearly as gripping. Just simply a decent read.

Just stop. His face was basely touched and they ruled it a concussion. There are NFL guys that get rocked and get cleared to play the next week. Sitting out as long as he did for that was retarded.

Maybe "now" was incorrect, but according to my padnuh who has some deep connects, she is willing to sell before she croaks, but only as a package deal. Graves is ready, willing and able to buy the Saints right now, but she doesn't want to sell the Saints to him right now, unless he takes the Pels as well. Graves doesn't want the Pels.
What is the point of making up inside information about an owner? Your "podnuh source" doesn't even make sense from a financial standpoint. Gayle would 100% make more money if she sold separately. It wouldn't even make financial sense for her to sell as a package much less that being a hill she is willing to die on.
I was kind of baffled by how much they showed in the first trailer, haven't watched any of the other ones since. I just don't get why you take away the surprise of Rocky. Maybe they thought the movie wouldn't look as interesting if they didn't show an alien? Either way, I'll hopefully be there opening night, looks fantastic.

I am full blown ready for Santos to be fired. The treatment of the deaf girl is just insanely bad. I'm sure they'll do something where Santos saves her life or is the only one to figure it out but her neglecting this girl is driving me nuts.
The lady has been there presumably over 8 hours (It think they said 5 in the waiting room) and Santos doesn't have the decency to try and spend more than a minute to help her in any situation. Finally you get an interpreter and she goes "I'm going to give you two some time to get to know one another" :banghead: Wanted to punch her in the face. WhyTF would these two need to get to know each other? For once try and listen to what's going on with her.
I honestly can't remember anything in recent memory on TV frustrating me more than this one case.

You would have to judge differently. Floor and vault are the only two events that are the same and guys skill/difficulty is much higher.

The only thing I can come up with is golf. Shorten the course to adjust for driving disparity,
Wouldn't help. If they played from the same tee box, no matter how short the course, the men are going to be hitting less club into the green than the women. Unless you were meaning just shorten it for the women, not for the men as well.
Playing from different tee boxes would be the only way to even it.

I would imagine there are some people that haven't read the book that wouldn't want to know that.
Should at least start off with a bang. The battle should be early on in the season given where it left off. Was a mistake not having it last season.

3 was the perfect end to the series had they never made another one, agree 100%. But 4 is actually really good IMO. I'd give it another shot if I were you.
Yea 3 was perfect. Could have easily stopped there and I was disappointed when 4 was announced. But I loved 4. I thought 4 made a really nice arc on Woody's story.
Like I was with 3, I would have been fine if 4 was the last one, but i will 100% see this in theatres. I am pretty much in for any Toy Story (though I didn't see Lightyear).
I think the tablet is a perfect villain for the time we are in. looking forward to it.

Probably pretty spot on with the weight.
Needs to be Michelob Ultra (equally as gay) over Bud Light.
Doesn't need a tattoo.
Picture should be of him sitting down when he pisses. Baffling the amount of queers that sit down to be around here.

Been doing some stand alones alongside Dungeon Crawler Carl.
Was looking for some different/under the radar stuff and it has been a whole lot of meh.
Floralinda and the 40 Flight Tower. Meh. 3/5
Big, Little. Gross. First DNF for me in AGES. Wanted to throw the book away. 1/5
The Land of Laughs. Decent. Good ending but you don't get any type of fantasy elements until you're almost at the end of the book. 3.5/5
Not technically a stand alone but I think I'm going Kings of the Wyld next.
But currently loving The Eye of the Bedlam Bride. Maybe my favorite since book 1.

How good is he?
I like the choice.
He is really good in Euphoria, arguably the most interesting character/best actor on the whole show filled with good actors/actresses. He was good in Frankenstein even though the movie itself was an abomination.
