A few episodes in to S2 and it seems like this is one of the most hit or miss shows I've ever watched. One episode you think it's one of the best things you've seen in a while and then the next three episodes are a chore to get through.

Overall just a very forgettable episode. And no I'm not expecting every episode to be the pilot or last weeks level, but the season 2 premiere and now this one were pretty boring. Which is honestly more par for the course than surprising.

It's early in the season and I know it's already a broken record for me but my god it's impossible to root for Ellie. She sucks. She is just an awful person and character. Literally zero redeeming qualities.

Everyone has to walk around on eggshells around her for fear of getting chewed out for no reason (and no one seems to care when she does cuss them out). At the town meeting they are like "We all are upset about Joel and feel for Ellie." Why would they feel for Ellie? It's not like he was her dad, she only knew him for a few years and it appears she was a bitch to him for most of the time. Omg poor Ellie!

And the writers on the after show are pretty comical. The way they talk it's like this show is changing the way people watch television. Like dude, get over yourself. And the camera lady that was like "filming that scene with Ellie I just couldn't stop crying" and she starts to fake cry

Never said it was worse. Kiper was much worse. It was just a similar situation. Certainly don't feel bad for Gruden having to sit next to some dolts when Gruden himself has looked like a dolt on many occasions.

You look worse, tbh

I'm not trying to look better than this guy. It was a simple reply. Odd that it took a "WHERE DID GRUDEN MOLEST YOU AT?" turn.

he's forgotten more about football than you will ever know,

I would hope so

It's a hot take to hold a grudge against him feeling like Manziel is going to be a special player, for some odd reason. Literally, no one cares or remember anything about that...but you.

Wtf are you talking about? A grudge? This is a message board dumbass and what people are talking about right now is how bad Mel Kiper was with Shadeur. It was embarrassing. Another bad draft moment was Gruden doing basically the same thing but for Manziel. But somehow you felt bad for him for having to sit next to other bad announcers? Poor guy!

So...where on the god damn doll did Gruden touch you?

This isn't the funny joke you think it is. But it legit sounds like you want to suck his dong with how you're white knighting for him over something so stupid. I know you haven't been on here much but maybe get used to people responding to your post on a public message board and having a different opinion than you.

I'd say it's definitely worth finishing. If for no reason other than to see if you love it or hate it.

If you don't finish you're just going to turn on some forgettable reality show and you might as well see if you like the movie that is widely viewed as one of the greatest of all time as opposed to something run of the mil. That's how I'd look at it.

I know they are made in LA and I prefer to support local, but I am just not a fan of CT. Behind on technology, don't hold up as well in storms, and they discolor/pick up algae quicker than the other major shingle manufacturers.

Of the ones you mentioned, Atlas would be my top pick. They make a fantastic shingle. Also don't think we've ever had a manufacturer defect with an Atlas shingle yet.

I'm sure a CT would be fine, a proper installation is more important, but it's personally just not my favorite. Honestly it's in part to due with everyone in my area installing it and telling homeowners it's the best shingle on the market and you ask them why and the answer is... "Umm, it just is" or "It's made in Shreveport." I'm sorry, that's not a good enough answer.

I am admittedly totally ignorant on some of the intricacies so sorry for the dumb question here but what is your routine when it's time to wrap up? Do you wipe a bit with TP, then spray water, then dry again with TP? Or just do water from the outset and wipe dry? Also if your hole is soaking wet, does then wiping with TP not leave it all crumbly and lead to wet dingleberries?

Spray. I spray a good bit, wiggle around on the toilet a little to make sure to hit all the spots on the bunghole  Then give it a few seconds to let the water drip. Then wipe with TP. Sometimes still some streaking so I just finish off with TP. But I can't stand up with a wet butt, I have to be completely dry.

I honestly don't think I save just a ton of TP, but it is certainly cleaner down there which is all I care about.

I use both and it's really just a matter of how I speak- I have a tendency to use a different number of syllables between the adjective and noun when possible.

HILARIOUS!

Saying Gruden is a doofus isn't really a hot take buddy. Didn't realize he had white knights around here.
quote:

Gruden, unlike Kiper trying to score DEI points, had a reason. Gruden did the QB camps. That's his thing. He has very little to talk about with other positions other than, "he's a beast" or "that guy's a monster".

So maybe at least do your research and figure out which teams actually need a qb and talk about Manziel when those teams come up instead of talking about him being drafted by every single team that comes up. Like Kiper, he looked like a giant bozo. Gruden is 100% not a guy that needs to be on a draft day panel. Nobody on the planet is buying you as a scout much less feel bad for him that he has to sit with other clowns. Seeing as he fits right in.
Definitely a game changer.

I didn’t get the heated model but the cold water is no issue and you get instantly clean without all the toilet paper waste

Do you just sit there and dry off? I still use toilet paper even after the bidet

Seeing Gruden have to sit their with those pitiful sad sacks was brutal.

Kiper this year is the only thing that tops how bad Gruden was Manziels draft year. I legit thought Gruden was going to get up and leave after Manziel was drafted because he wouldn't have anything else to talk about. it didn't matter what team it was or what their need was, every single team should have picked Manziel according to Gruden. Prior to this year, it was the worst draft coverage I have ever watched.
Wow  It was bad day one and that was about how I expected it to go the longer he went without getting drafted. Reece was clearly sick of it.
Got a clip of that one? Or was it just the whole process? I didn't really pick up on that. I only watched ESPN for the first round and had it on NFLN the rest because Kiper was so bad in round one.
Yea it's a really underrated ball and by far the best at that price range. My only complaint was it's lifespan. You play nine holes with that things and the cover is about smoothed out.
quote:

Would be crazy seeing this guy playing in the CFL or UFL next year...

You under estimate just how bad the backup QB's are in the NFL. I have no idea how Shadeur will turn out, but I'd rather him over a lot of guys on rosters.
quote:

I think he will be an outstanding pro QB, and I believe we will look back on this pick in a few years and question what the rest of the NFL was doing.

I mean odds are he is going to be sitting behind Dillon Gabriel.

Kiper always looks like an idiot on draft day, but he went full on mental with Shadeur.

It was just an awful broadcast that was hard to watch.

Thanks again for the tips guys

I guess I'll tell yall about my rounds like I did with Calvert.

Saturday was incredibly frustrating. I started on #6 and based off what yall said I knew I was going to hit hybrid off the tee so I ended my range session with probably 8 shots with my 3H. Just like normal, I hit 8 draws. Step on the first tee, aim right center of the fairway... fade  Right into the drink. So start off with a double.

Rest of the round was mediocre at best. On #9 my tee shot faded instead of drawing and it took a hard hop right just in the woods and I couldn't play it. But actually salvaged par after hitting a wedge tight. On #10 I stuck my tee shot to 5ft. #16 i hit a 4 iron to 20ft and lipped out for eagle. Would have been a $500 skin had that went in. I made 3 birdies and strung together some pars and was going to salvage a struggling day on the course with my shoulder killing me. Then I get to #4 and something I've never had happen before...

I'm playing it safe like we talked about, just going to the front right. But I really chose the wrong club because I hit it on a good line but was pin high so it hit off the top of the hill and kicked right. Rolled past the cart path and had a tree blocking me. I can't hit a normal pitch so I go 8 iron and just decide to bump and run it into the face of the hill and let it trickle over. Well I hit it and it freaking hit's the lip of the cart path, flies back towards me a few feet from my head at 210 mph balls speed straight back into the woods  Had to drop in an even worse position. Triple bogey to shoot 82.

Was really disappointed on how it ended but Sunday was pretty good. Knew the course better obviously and just played smarter. Started off 5 over through my first 5 (tee shots in the water on #7 AND #8 :banghead:) but shot -1 the rest of the way for a respectable 76.

Think I finished 10th out of 31 in my flight and 14th out of 115 or so.

Actually enjoyed the course quite a bit. Nice mix of challenging and fair holes. Greens weren't perfect but they rolled smooth.

I did lose my rangefinder which was a bummer. I swear to god the cart barn kids at every public course are all little lying thief's.
