re: Cleopatra on Rome TV series

The first Cleopatra episode was one of my favorites.
Cleopatra is trying to get pregnant and comes on to Lucius but he says no in order to stay faithful to his wet mop wife. Then they called Titus in there and of course he's like hell yea let's have a go. They have wild sex and Lucius can hear it from the tent. Titus comes back to the tent, lays down next to Lucius...
Tutus: Ahhh God that was something!
Lucius: Dont want to know! If you value your life you wont speak again!
Titus: I was only obeying orders, bloody good orders

For the firing of Shula,
:Where do yall come up with this stuff :rotflmao:
He was 26-23, 10-23 in the conference and made one bowl game. Nobody was hammering them for firing Shula, he legit sucked.

No idea bc I’ve not read the book. Looks boring. I just assumed it had been done
Nope. The most memorable and best one, the 1931 version was obviously way off. Not very much even resembles the book. Victor Frankenstein from the 2010's was possibly even further off from source since the main character was someone who didn't exist in the story. This GDT version is imo, just as far off if not more story wise. It gets the tone right, but it's hard to give it a bunch of props based on tone alone, it's very far from the source no matter how much people want to justify the changes simply because it's GDT. The 1990's Mary Shelley's Frankenstein tried to be faithful but it was directed so poorly and so poorly acted (Robert De Niro being basically a Bronx creature lol), it completely takes away from any faithfulness.
Supposedly there is a Hallmark one from the 2000's I think that followed the source very closely. Don't really have a desire to watch a Hallmark Frankenstein though.

You don't like judging a trade based on how a trade works out. You realize how dumb that is right? And it's not almost a decade ago, stop. And the trade isn't even finished, they are still benefiting from the trade and have Clippers pics left. This isn't a decade old trade like you're making it out to be.

Meh. Everyone would have done the clippers trade at the time it was made and talking shite about it is pure hindsight
So what actually happens with the trade doesn't matter? Then no trade mentioned in this thread would matter

We just finished up a remodel on a house where the tree crashed through the roof and pinned the lady to the ground. Broke her leg. She laid there for a while pinned to the ground with the limb on her, 70 years old.

womens divisions just fell apart. 5-10 years ago the womens divisions were fricking solid. you had about 8-10 killers between the 2-3 divisions.
Yep, for a stretch there the women's division, especially the top, was more entertaining than the men's. It's been so bad lately. It feels like you haven't even had a good women's fight in general in a while, much less a must watch killer.

Valentina vs Weili is probably the best female fight in 5 yrs (on paper).
Can't believe the big Nunes fights were so long ago. Nunes vs Valentina x2, vs Cyborg, vs Rousey.
Rose vs Joanna and Rose vs Andrade was probably 5+ years too.
Man the women's division needs Nunes bad.
It's different from the others you mentioned because it was rigged. They were guaranteed the first pick in the draft, it's the only think that makes it even remotely feasible to make it. They could have had a bidding war unlike any other and had a war chest.
The PG/SGA so far is worse though given that the Clips made it as an all in trade to win a title asap and they ended up giving up the actual star that could have won them a title.
The Mavs trade on paper, if you factor in the #1 pick, isn't as dumb as what the Saints gave up though.

It's wild to me when there are threads about what are you listening to now and it's always the same old rock bands.
There's so much good new music out it's crazy. I'm constantly finding new stuff to listen to. Can't imagine just listening to the same stuff over and over end over. Not saying I don't like an oldie, but man there's so much good music to be discovered.

He doesn't have the hybrid then. That thing will run like a scolded dog, especially in sport mode. I've had the Titan v8, first eco boost, the current 5.0, and now the hybrid Tundra. Tundra is stronger and faster than any of my other trucks. Pulls great too.
I test drove the non hybrid version and probably would have went with the Chevy zr2 with the 6.2 in it if they didn't make the hybrid version. 440 horsepower with no turbo lag, it'll scoot. The non hybrid version drives very similar to the Chevy 5.3.

Damon Landor had a few weeks left in his sentence for drug possession when guards at a Louisiana prison handcuffed him to a chair and shaved off the knee-length dreadlocks he had grown over nearly two decades. Minutes earlier, Landor had handed them a judicial opinion requiring prisons to allow dreadlocks for religious purposes.
That's so lame on the guards part.

No film breakdown needed. Just watch the games and it's clear the scouting report is that he sucks at playing QB.

Man I was floored. I love that particular brand of rock that has an old school bluesy influence, similar to early Black Keys, and man the white stripes has that nailed.
If you dig that kinda music I would recommend listening to their 2nd album De Stijl
Pretty sure he argued with me on here that The Black Keys/Dan Auerbach is talentless , so probably not the guy to do a deep dive into any bands that sound like early Black keys (which is insanely good stuff). But he likes 21 Pilots so maybe if you find him something similar to that.
