Not the step dad, but the dad that stepped up.

I loved that they leaned hard into the sassy black woman character with the whole show being about the disgruntled VPs getting her back was somehow realistic/relatable

Shortly before they burn her house down… Gamby while digging through the trash: “Come on Russell let’s get out of here I ain’t finding nothing but used tampons and empty bottles of cocoa butter” :rotflmao: I use that quote when I can.

then she becomes empathetic and relatable too as it progresses. just amazing

The scene is hilarious but you can’t help but feel bad for her when Russell gets her drunk and plane pisses on the cop car. Even Gamby feels icky because of how low down Russell can be.

The show has a pretty underrated story too actually. The mystery on who shot Gamby actually has a pretty good twist to it honestly.

Odd thread title for someone that isn’t your step son.

i started another rewatch of this last night

Talking to the high school kid he picked up for school.... "You know what getting turned out means? It's when a little kid like you goes into I.S.S. and gets f*cked in the arse... and turns into a girl." :rotflmao:

Almost every word that comes out of those two clowns mouth in this show cracks me up.

As if they don’t have enough to complain about already, the general public within the gymternet would complain even more about us if Jay had Emily doing a 2 pass routine

Raise your hand if you couldn't give two shits what the gymnernet thinks.

quote:

She’d need to open with a more difficult non-twisting e pass which she doesn’t have in her arsenal, or do a cartwheel to back layout step out (a la Coen) somewhere in her routine which for me personally waters down the routine even further and makes it look more like a lvl 8/9 routine vs up to the level in NCAA type routine to fulfill the backwards tumbling requirements. I excuse it with Bryant because she opened with a double front but that’s basically what oklahoma does and we complain non stop about their boring basic cookie cutter routines year after year

I don't care what she does. But the sport is going away from three pass routines. I like her routine, when she hits it's a 9.90 routine. But if I'm being honest on a team this deep I think that a senior, one event specialist, should probably have a little higher ceiling than a 9.90 routine but that's just me being slightly spoiled with how good we've been. She's only got one routine left in an LSU uniform, I hope this next one is her best one yet.

"No. You're not even remotely fat and you know that." Pretty easy.

Why in gods name would someone even be married if they despise spending time with their wife that much?.

I have a pretty big sliver of hope. We have lots of places that we can improve, lots of places where we are normally better

Yea I say sliver because of judging. I believe in the girls for sure. Though I think next year will be better, this team is still pretty special.

Wider landings will get you .1 off at the most if stuck.

It used to. For about 6-7 years now it does not seem to be that way. OU has it perfected where they can land with their feet shoulder width apart or wider and just suck their feet back in during their pose and the judges treat it like it's a perfect landing. It absolutely drives me nuts.

I think it was the 2019 national championship where they were just crazy wide landings all night and the judges weren't taking anything off and they won the title. In my head I was like ok the judges/ncaa gymnastics is going to look at that and they are going to have to start penalizing for that type of landing. Nope. LSU and Florida (I hate to admit it) would both do themselves a service if they adjusted their landings instead of trying to stick with your feet close together because you're creating difficulty with seemingly no added benefit.

We should not do 3 floor passes unless that's the only way we get a 10 sv. Every coach my daughter ever had said you should always do the minimum required to get a perfect routine and therefore your highest score. It's not like the Olympics where your sv can go over 10.

Right. I think the coaches wanted Emily Innes to just do two passes this year but she told them she wanted to do three because of the challenge. I'd have to have been like sorry girl, we're trying to win, you're going to do two.

Workaholics for me. Silicon Valley is good but doesn't make me LOL like Workaholics does. Very rewatchable too.

Tight butthole.

Underrated:

Bosie in Cold Mountain

Percival McLeach in Rescuers Down Under

This video in no way begs the question if the PGA wants him back

Not everything is a big deal. You think other players wouldn't complain about that? I'm sure they would, and like Bryson, forget about it a minute later. Not every 15 second clip needs to be broken down like it's some big issue.

Yo momma is so fat the only reason yo daddy married her is because he got stuck to her gravitational pull.

Yo momma so poor she goes to KFC and licks other peoples fingers.

Right. I normally like Roethlisberger and he seems to like LSU a good bit usually and maybe he was just playing up the drama but it was just odd.

Thanks for the link, that's pretty handy. 6 judges is such a better system. Wish normal meets could at least get 3-4. Two judges can be so inconsistent.

OU's leadoff winning the vault title and getting three 10's

I can't imagine that Robby will adopt the baby, but he did have that conversation with Mohan about his dreams of a wife, two kids, and property with a pond

Dana has been annoying this season. Her voice is really starting to wear on me. It's a minor complaint but if I heard her say "Baby Jane Doe" one more time I was going to pull my hair out. She finally stopped saying it but then this episode you have her just going around basically asking everyone in the ER if they want a baby. yes, because that's definitely how adoption works. You want a baby? Sure, here you go! No legalities, no application, no 50K adoption fees, just take the baby.
This is the first medical drama I've watched since I was in high school watch House with my mom. Never cared for them because they seemed so fake. but debating turning on ER last night just to give it a shot. HBO really wants me to watch it, it's been on my home screen for a year.
Got a link to that thread? Wouldn't mind seeing the category that isn't supernatural or possession. Wouldn't mind watching some newer stuff because I'm sure I'm missing out on some good movies but I certainly lean towards the Scream, The Strangers type stuff over The Exorcist. I just can't do those.
It really does. They stretched out the love hate relationship a little too long and cut into the comedy last year but glad they are back to no drama between the two of them this year.

Kayla is so dang funny. Even the assistant is better this year.
quote:

But OU has been in the 198s and is in Ft Worth and always get the benefit of the doubt

How can anyone beat that?

I have a sliver of hope. We have to be perfect. I think if we're perfect we can beat them and also just pray that the judges even across the board.

And I hate it but I really wish Jay would start teaching wider landings to get more sticks. The judges clearly don't punish OU for them one bit. The benefit of a stuck landing with your feet together on the mat has virtually disappeared so why even try for that. It's like the 3 pass routine on floor almost being extinct. Why do three passes when you are just opening yourself up for more deductions when you can hit all your marks in two passes?

I've said it for most of the year that a final four would be a very solid accomplishment for this team, I think next year should probably have a slightly better team that has a better shot at the title.

They've got a lot to be proud of, it's been a good year, but they are certainly going to have to be better than last night if they want a shot at the title.
