I didn't get to speak with him but when I get a chance I will ask him what's up. Let's see who we sign with this NIL shite going on like it is

My love for high school recruiting have slowly dwindled throughout the years, I’m finally to the point where news like this doesn’t affect me one bit. I’m free yall

The commitment from high school players is barely 1 year if that long. Of course you’d rather get the players on your campus, but for how long?

Same here... nowadays, I look at early commitments as bargaining tools for recruits to get more NIL. Once a kid commits to a school, other teams will continue to reach with a counter offer until signing day.

It's hard to take anything serious until the pen hits the paper in December.

NIL has changed everything and commitments really don't mean shite anymore.

It is funny though how we're very regularly the first choice of so many top recruits from around the country, despite things turning out different.

There's something infectious about BR on a Saturday night.

I know it was when I was there. But a doctor helped clear that up.

I mean…these guys get so much free shite and wear it all the time.

I am not saying he’s a lock, but kids wearing gear of other schools even committed is common.

Totally agree with you. I’ll do a Mark Twain style comment here. “I don’t follow recruiting until the contract is signed.” I will raise you and say that my interest in college football is dwindling. Super conferences, NIL, and a lot of traditional rivalry games gone have ruined the game. I’ll still watch LSU but the new version of college football is turning me off big time.

IF he's a true Tiger, he'll never go to the dark side (Bama). If he does, we will all root for him to lose and fail.

That said, hope he's a true Tiger.

If he was a true tiger, he wouldn't be wearing a BAMA sweater.

That's the thing, he's never mentioned Bama at all the many many times I've talked to the kid.
He loves Lsu and has mentioned Tn and Teaxs A & M maybe OU. Ole Miss bc he does have alot of kids he grew up with and played against and with on the roster.
NIL is important for him and his family.
Devan Robertson has looked good in practice the last couple of weeks as well.
My son just lost his Starting spot at the moment. He has time to take it back. He is splitting Reps with a senior at the TE/WR position. He was taking all of the first team reps. He's handling his own blocking Devan and company. But he's doing dumb Freshman shite. Football 101 such as hand placement, chopping his feet, and firing off the ball.
Hes more worried about missing a block than just playing fast.
My son is trying to out muscle Devan, instead of using good technique and staying low!
He did lose his real father the same week spring ball started and he's been struggling with that pretty bad. I wish I could take all of his pain away. He also had Covid the next week and missed 2 days of practice.
He was wondering why he lost reps and that he didn't understand why? I told him as bad as it sounds and feels life goes on and the ahit sucks but this is real life. Now he's on a mission and has gotten even more hungry.

I think he ultimately makes it to campus. But at the same time $$ Talks especially when that's one of your main focal points when being recruited
