Polls don't show him as a 'popular' senator, just average. He could have an impact there. Shapiro would probably have a better impact in PA, closer margin and the idea that governors are more popular than senators. Of course, Shapiro has less than a term under his belt. Roy Coper in NC maybe?...

No one gives a shite about where the VP hails from. You're better off picking a good candidate who can articulate the President's vision. It's why no one has done it in modern history. That said, I expect Beshear or Mark Kelly as the VP....
