re: Sacrifice for Football

In most years baseball loses money. Not because of lack of followers but because baseball doesn’t have a massive tv deal like football and basketball.
Oh wow… due tell of this forcing?

I don’t know….. 1st base
Yeah he obviously has no clue what he’s talking about.
I don’t think you understand modern basketball. It’s not 1982 and you walk the ball up the court and hold 2 fingers up and then pass it around 6 times and throw it to a big with his back to the basket
It’s all about pace and space, scoring at the rim and getting to the line or 3’s.
We had really high offensive efficiency numbers under Wade, top 10 in the country.
So no it wasn’t street ball

re: LSU baseball is getting screwed in revenue share

Well…. 21 million watched the basketball national title game, 2.7 million watched lsu vs coastal in the finals.that was an 11% decrease from the previous year. It’s would seem that basketball is more popular by that measurement. 66,200 watched it live in the Alamodome. A little more than 23,000 saw the baseball finals. So about 3x’s as many saw basketball to baseball.

You sir are an idiot. College baseball aside for like 8 schools, no one cares about as evidence by the tv deals and rev share. College basketball is way more profitable than baseball. So if you want more revenue to be shared, then you have to put the money in the sports that generate the most revenue. Even at LSU the pinnacle of college baseball, they are barely profitable and in some years are revenue negative.
Each win in March madness is worth $2million to the conference. So the more teams, and wins the more revenue that’s shared.

It’s pretty embarrassing in here.
It might be time to pull the plug on McMahon

Down 26 at home to the worst team in the sec. I don’t know how much worse it gets. I don’t care if Thomas is hurt , Carolina is shooting warm up 3’s with no one around them
It’s Biddy… just fyi
Money talks and BS walks and the Big Ten has more money and boosters with deeper pockets. The SEC screwed up in expansion with Texas and Oklahoma because it didn’t increase revenue. You already had the Texas market with A&M and Oklahoma is a small state with no major tv markets. Meanwhile the big ten went and got usc and ucla Oregon and Washington so they added all of California Oregon and Washington tv markets
re: Outside the box solution to the bowls.

F the bowls. What should happen is expand the playoffs to 16. Eliminate the conference championship games, and start the playoffs this week (Dec 12-13). leave the bowls to the Tulane, Boise State, James Madison’s of the world . If your a power 4 and you don’t make the 16 team playoff, your season ends.

Well he is an executive with Boyd aviation. Drink or his representatives must have flown in
Or just not have a signing day. The are basically free agents now. Make an offer and sign when you accept
re: Aggies just approved its $28MM baseball player development facility. LSU get on it.

I guess you could build the indoor infield in the parking lot between the pitching lab and railroad tracks.
What coach is going to leave his current job he’s successful in to come to a job that has a meddling governor calling the shots? A governor who thinks coaches would leave their guarantees for something non guaranteed
What does this even mean? Are you implying a woman can’t run a business? What does men’s sports pays the bills have to do with the AD’s gender? And there only 2 sports that turn a profit, football and men’s basketball
Well…. No coach is going to accept a job without a president and AD in place. Also no sitting head coach is going to come here for less money and less job security. He’s not leaving a place with a guaranteed contract, and coming here to see if it works.
If you are going to speak, at least be accurate with what you are saying.
1) no tax payer dollars were used
2) Ross Bjork gave Jimbo the extension in 2021 after Woodward was already in baton rouge

With his health issues, I doubt he coaches again after this year
Because Phil knight is involved and he has some sort of vesting stock option stuff with Nike. The longer he stays the more shares he gets
