My guess would be somewhere between 3rd and 5th, but I could be way off.
I can listen to Hanny talk about just about anything. He has a great radio voice that fits pretty much any category of discussion similar to Rush.

Ott is a nice guy but he’s just terrible.
Honorable mention is old faithful. The bass line and specifically the crescendoing horn section in the intro is out of this fricking world.

Grandpa was in his late 20’s around the time Off the Wall was released and he said it was a mad dash to the dance floor when the needle dropped on this one.
Really wish horn sections would make a comeback.

Not only my favorite of his but in my top 5 favorite songs ever.
The orchestral intro is from Beethoven’s 9th, and the interlude that follows is incredible. The key changes in the refrain are incredible. I can do without the spoken word outro, but Micheal could do whatever he wanted musically speaking.
I wouldn't brag about long term psychosis as being a positive either.. Just that it’s apples to oranges to compare it to liver disease.

I don't think long term psychosis is "less damaging" than liver disease. I'd say they are about equal in terms of long term damage.
Well, other than the fact that “long term” psychosis won’t kill you and “long term” liver disease will.

The house I grew up in is now an unkept and rundown looking POS.

First time I discovered the time stamps on Google Maps I went as far back as it would let me and the image was the house just as I remembered it when I was in high school.

It was taken during the late afternoon just before dusk (golden hour) and there are my parents cars parked under the carport, my old basketball goal is still out in the driveway, etc.

My mom is no longer with us and as a man I will tell you the first time I saw that it watered my eyes a good bit. It seems silly but being able to go back and revisit just that little moment in time has always meant a lot to me.
I have never been, but have been to the memorial in NYC. It’s a solemn place to honor the innocents affected by that tragedy.

That being said, I have zero doubt that 93 was shot down by US military aircraft. The narrative is honorable, but takes away from the logic of the situation.

93 went down about 30 minutes after flight 77, and with the events that had transpired in the hours before, there is no way in hell that plane was going to fly on with known terrorists at the helm.
I know what I was taught.

My statement was in regards to recent claims by clergy that nobody has the right to criticize the pope.

Embarrassing to all Catholics.
You are quite literally robbing Peter to pay Paul.

For the sake of argument, I’ll grant you that the verbiage of Matthew 16:18 (Jesus’ use of “this” to identify the rock and “it” in reference to said church) can be subjective depending on your persuasion.

However if we look at 19, while speaking to Peter He says “Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

To me, that sounds a bit more direct as to what Christ intends for Peter. This in no way diminishes Paul’s contribution, but I once again have to take into account the weight granted to Peter and the apostles directly by Jesus in Matthew 28 by telling them specifically to “make disciples of all nations”.

I also don’t see it as a competition in any way, which is a weird take IMO.

Yes he is.
I can promise you after this season he will not be vacationing. Seems to be the type where it will eat at him each day that he missed on so many portal guys and he will do anything in his power to prevent that from happening again.

Peter the rock denied even knowing Jesus 3 times.
If I need to explain to you the foundational principle of the New Testament then I will, but I assume you already know that the forgiveness of sin is a pretty big part of it.

Not a good look for the first pope, huh?
Reread the OP. I do not refer to Peter as the “pope”. I opine on the idea that the pope is not divine, as some in the faith believe. However to me, that issue is not the end all be all that some make it out to be.
That’s the point. “Church” refers to the community of believers as a collective;

Matthew 18 20
“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”

This is in reference to the totality of man that should profess Jesus Christ to be their Lord and Savior, not a specific denomination (or lack thereof).

The spreading of the Good Word via the ministry of Peter and the apostles is what forms the “Church”. There in lies the context of Peter being the “rock” (foundation) upon which the Church shall proceed.

ETA: added for context

Matthew 28:19
“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”
quote:

Jesus wasn’t speaking Greek, He was speaking Aramaic. In Aramaic it’s the same word, Kepha, both times. So it’s basically: “You are Rock, and on this Rock I’ll build my Church.” No distinction there.

The Petros vs Petra thing only shows up because Greek needs a masculine form for a name. It’s a grammar issue, not a different meaning… and even in Greek, that difference gets overplayed. Those words can be used interchangeably in that time period.

Also, if Jesus only meant Peter’s confession, the sentence gets weird: “You are Rock, but I’m building on something else.” That’s not how it reads. Then right after, Jesus gives Peter alone the keys and authority. If it was just about a general belief, why single him out like that? Every other time God changed someone’s name in the Bible it was a monumental thing.

Perfectly explained brother.
Statements and action I should say*

Besides the example in the OP, the blessing of same sex couples is a pretty big one...

Allocating a place for prayer to a false idol (Mohammed) within the walls of Vatican City is another.

He’s unreal with the lazy pop ups. Un fricking real.
Maybe I missed it, but did I bring up Trump? Or is your case of TDS so severe that you must mention his name to scratch that mentally retarded itch that you feel?

Crazy what a simple ground ball hit the other way can do when the fielders are shifted.

We would’ve popped up to the right side of the infield there.
What then is the appropriate response when the vicar of Christ makes statements that are directly antithetical to the written text of the Bible?
