Jay is a character guy

Had some good conversations with Braxton Beaty and W. Schmidt today. Both over the moon about being at LSU and very impressive kids.

LFG Lane but man am I pumped that Jay doesn’t just seek out talent but culture.

frick Clemson!
Women should not be officiating male sports.

the absurdity of defining a 22 year old who played in two preseason games for $50,000 as a pro and a 24 year old entering college FA and getting paid $4m to play is someone “enjoying the sanctity of college sports.”
This is entirely it and is intentionally being left out of the bigger conversation.

It is the greatest. There have been many upsets after that were maybe more improbable, but up to this point none are more prominently memorable than that one.
I can’t imagine there aren’t at least a handful of quality players from the 2022 class just hanging out to dry right now in the minors who would love to jump on a possible 5th year.

I 100% see this at least being on his radar, however with baseball having a much tighter leash on rostering I’m curious as to the possibility given that any players would have to enroll for the spring and miss fall.

And I don’t necessarily disagree with the move.

The problem is, we are entering year 6 of the unmitigated disaster that is the transfer portal + NIL era and there has been absolutely nothing done in the way of setting up a framework for what is and isn’t allowed..
No movement on transfer limits, a salary cap, some type of contract structure for participation, etc.

I’m not sure what else could bring the necessary attention and urgency than Nick Saban himself testifying to congress? Still no impact whatsoever on the boys in Birmingham.

I love watching LSU football, but the passion I had for CFB pre Covid may never return given the disaster that currently exists.

I think Alberta would be a great addition personally, large economy with great resource value and natural beauty.

18 is Whit Weeks.

With him deciding to return and the role he has taken as the leader carrying over from the old staff to the new, it’s pretty much a guarantee IMO.
It makes you wonder.. if Les Miles to Michigan actually occurred, it would’ve been a sure thing to bring Nick back to LSU given the disaster that was his first season at Alabama.

Decades of Louisiana cooking and daily energy drinks can’t be beneficial to long term heart health..

Believe it or not, those men took pride in playing football for LSU even more than 90% of the players nowadays do.

Why should their legacy not be honored the same way as the other championship teams who are recognized by the governing body of the sport?

I don’t think it’s an intentional slight, but the program is doing them a disservice being that they are the first national championship team for a program that would go on to become a major power in the sport.

37 SB in 52 games vs 8 attempts in 2 years at LSU… come on Jay
We’ll see when we get in season, there’s only so many things you can ask about in camp.

I will say, whoever the reporters are that preface every question with “I guess” or “just” absolutely drive me up a wall..

This is your profession, nut up and ask a straightforward question.

Buddy, Bonnette is the LSU “deep state” lol.

He’s made it through 4 head coaches and is on his 4th AD. He has a lot more pull that you’d think.
Grizzlies are inland bears. Coastal bears are just referred to as Brown. However I’m pretty sure Kodiak’s are their own species.
