re: Ever eat a sunflower seed that tastes just like a musty, old antique house?
Posted by Fishinguy3527 on 2/16/26 at 6:39 am to shutterspeed
These days I pour my seeds out and sift through the ones that are cracked or not whole. Typically these are the ones that get rotten in the middle and taste like arse.
Staying in Shreveport for a night
Posted by Fishinguy3527 on 2/13/26 at 6:46 am
What is a decent area and stuff to do in shreveport? I know its not the best city and bad in certain areas but there must be a half decent part of town I can stay in and go out drinking for 1 night. Let it rip.
Floating Boat Dock
Posted by Fishinguy3527 on 2/2/26 at 11:40 am
Looking for anyone who has a floating boat dock and general recommendations for whether or not they are worth the price. My current boat is 22' but have considered getting a smaller (maybe 10-12') and use a floating dock.
How hard is it to get your boat on and off? How does it do with the waves in the water? Does the bottom get full of barnacles and need cleaning? Does the sun damage the plastic? Is it a problem rigging it up to move with the tide?

Need Pants with Bigger Thighs
Posted by Fishinguy3527 on 1/28/26 at 12:06 pm
This issue seems trivial but has caused me a great deal of frustration. I wear a 32 waist and 32 long pant size but my thighs are too tight on every pair of pants I try on. Do yall OT baws know of certain pant brands that have larger thigh sections?
Side Note: I know I can go with a larger size waist to get the increased thigh diameter, but I dont like that I would have to wear a belt and practically have to fold the waist to make it fit right.

IPAs tear me up
Posted by Fishinguy3527 on 1/21/26 at 11:45 am
I'm not talking tearing me up in a good way.
I had a 3 IPAs last night at dinner, I wasnt drunk but tipsy. Today I feel like a hydrotest is going on inside my intestines and needed to use the bathroom 3 times in the AM. Anyone else experience this with IPA beer only and not other? Is this something that happens with age? Used to not be a problem for me.

Best all time stand up comedy? Need recs
Posted by Fishinguy3527 on 12/31/25 at 7:19 am
I watched Ricky Gervais "Fame" stand up from 2007 last weekend and it was incredibly funny. It made me think of how many old stand up are out there that are partially lost/forgotten. What are some great ones that are still worth the watch?

Anyone Drink Celsius?
Posted by Fishinguy3527 on 12/23/25 at 7:39 am
I have been a coffee drinker for years and look forward to my first cup every morning. I tried a Celsius for the first time last week and this thing absolutely jacked me up (in a good way) and kept me alert and productive throughout the day. Now I've had one every morning since.
Celsius promotes a cleaner and more healthy energy drink but something tells me this cant be good for your over a long period of time. I've always thought slamming energy drinks in the morning is slightly trashy but now here I am. Is it a bad idea to get hooked on these things as opposed to coffee?

Corpus Christi - What Happened?
Posted by Fishinguy3527 on 12/18/25 at 11:32 am
I recently spent the night in corpus christi for a concert. I drove through downtown and it seemed like a complete ghost town. Boarded up high rises, tons of beat up buildings, streets way too big for the amount of people there, etc. Was this a bussin town back in the day and now just a ghost town of what it used to be?
I will say the places that I did go to were fun and lively and I think the night life in Corpus is pretty good, but overall the city just feels empty.

Slow iphone after IOS update.
Posted by Fishinguy3527 on 12/16/25 at 6:48 am
Ever since this latest IOS update I had to do (a couple days ago) my phone is so slow I can barely use it. I'm sure this is a ploy to get people to go shell out a grand on a new one. Frick this I'm switching back to a flip phone.
How much creatine to take every day?
Posted by Fishinguy3527 on 12/15/25 at 3:21 pm
I've been taking 5g dose every day. I keep hearing about benefits of taking up to 10-20g a day. Does anyone do this and can feel a difference? I cant say that I feel a difference between taking 5g and not taking any at all.
Will crab trap rust faster in the water or out the water?
Posted by Fishinguy3527 on 12/14/25 at 10:36 am
I have crab traps around my dock (saltwater) and have been going through many of them and having the replace them often. I would assume they rust faster in the water but I'm not sure how all of that works.
Can anyone else not eat spicy food anymore?
Posted by Fishinguy3527 on 10/6/25 at 7:34 am
I used to eat a lot of spicy food growing up. Jalapenos on everything, hot sauce, tonys, you name it. My body used to deal with it just fine. Now anything remotely spicy messes me up bad. It sends me to the toilet every time. I'm not sure what happened that changed so drastically. Has anyone else had this issue and found a way to deal with it?
Oldest thing you've ate
Posted by Fishinguy3527 on 8/19/25 at 12:20 pm
Yesterday I ate a can of food that was 4 months expired. It appeared and tasted fine. Honestly I'm sure canned food is good for years after its expired.
What is the oldest things you've ate and did it make you sick?

re: Can you image if you accidentally ended up on a cruise like this?
Posted by Fishinguy3527 on 8/12/25 at 11:57 am to hawgndodge
This is incorrect. I did a 5 day cruise out of galveston over the holidays and it was the complete opposite of this video. All families and respectable people. They upcharge on holidays so these crowds stay away.
Transducer working about 50% of the time.
Posted by Fishinguy3527 on 7/27/25 at 7:11 pm
My transducer decides it only wants to work about half of the time. It seems to not work almost every time I go into shallow water (of course when I need it the most). I checked for loose connections and cant find any. Anyone have any idea what is going on here?

Posted by Fishinguy3527 on 6/25/25 at 6:46 am
All of my LSU shirts are worn and I need to upgrade to some nicer and hopefully lighter style shirts. Where can I find these online that dont cost over $100? I dont live in louisiana so I cant go to campus. Thanks.
