Is there an Oxford billboard available game week?
The Judge has checked with his Lamar contact but probably will not know until Monday.

Update and accounting.
After one or two or five drinks, the committee is leaning hard toward a large aerial billboard reading "Fire Sankey."
No final decision, so please weigh in.
Here is accounting to date. This is NOT final, and we will not move any funds until final. This is just an interim report.
Raised $6,215 (so far)
Spent $2,845 (billboards, receipt below)
Remaining $3,370
We have committed to a plane with at least a simple banner for Oxford at a cost of $2,000 all in. If we do the large banner, the additional cost will be about $6,700. Netting the leftover funds of $3,370, that leaves a gap of $5,330 based on the present raise. (We obviously expect to raise more).
If we go with the large banner, the committee will front the gap, and anyone who wants to can contribute. That IS the working plan right now.
The asks--
--contribute to the gap if you feel you want to
--help us take the Fire Sanky billboard ideas and make them visible as an aerial banner.
--offer any ideas for improvement of said banner
Weather in Oxford will likely be cloudy. I think that means a white banner might get washed out. But a purple banner may be too dark. Need help on this. Also, whatever we have on it has to be clearly visible from the ground.
We need art no later than tomorrow night to get it produced in time.
Note that the TFR (temporary flight restriction) goes into effect at 2 pm on game day. We will have to fly the banner between 11 and 2.
Even with the large banner production cost, we are getting a very good deal in a very tight market.
Note that there is a risk of mechanical failure or inclement weather that could prevent flight. We eat the cost if that happens.
That's it for now. Geaux Tigers.
Oh, here is the receipt for current spend.

The SEC is an unincorporated assocation, as I recall.

I think Lane will appreciate it most of all.

The CEOs would have been the individuals voting on expulsion. Not the executive committee.
EC must have approved the lawsuit. Sankey must have too.

To be honest, had he bucked the group of 15, it would have probably cost him his job. It may anyway. You can bet if the pressure ramps up, the 15 nitwits will quickly throw him under the bus as the fall guy.
The Group of 15 did not back him. The suit had to have been authorized by the Executive Committee.
If he lacks the leadership to talk the EC out of suing a charter member, he needs to go.

The deal is done.
The Judge says he gets all the comments on the art and will try to change it out, but he had to go for it when he could.
Thanks for all the input.

Moo State and Vandy would lose a lot if LSU was out.
Ole Miss and Arkansas would get hurt.
That's four votes for LSU. LSU is a fifth. That means LSU only has to pick up one other vote to beat the move.

re: How much money in media rights will the SEC lose if games are cancelled?

Disney is reportedly on the phone with Sankey right now.
The loss would be about $200 million, maybe more, over the course of the ESPN deal.
