Notre Dame was #1 last Spring/Summer too. Where did they end? Most elite players don't pick this early. ND will not finish top 5 while LSU will.

There aren't dead even but whatever.

I assume you don't follow ND, I know I don't. But I do recall hearing that some of the things that were a problem for recruiting were relaxed as a result of Kelly leaving (inexplicably in the minds of the out-of-touch ND powers that be). Again, I am not certain about this but I think it is true.

Look , I know you’ve caught quite a bit of grief over your thread, but I just feel like you deserve a bit more.

Here’s the thing people fail to understand. The reason Notre Dame is even recruiting as good as it is right now is because Kelly turned them into a consistent winner and developer of NFL talent. They were Nebraska level dead in the water before he got there and built them back up so that they are now a desirable place for recruits.

I thought it was well documented that he wanted certain things for the program and ND wouldn't guarantee them.

Also we may have the number 1 recruiting class in 2025 and ND couldn't dream of that.

LSU is into the 2026 class right now. Here’s a look at some of the players at St Aug in NOLA. The first guy, going to be one of the top DE’s for the 26 class.

i thought it was because they refused to update facilities and build actual athletic dorms.

I remember at a press conference BK said it was nice to be able to enjoy wearing his coaching casual clothes instead of having to wear a suit... Also coaches only generally stay at a school for 10-12 years and maybe he just likes the casual come as you are mentality of Louisiana.

It’s about $$ obviously but still, BK left because LSU “gets better players”. Thoughts?

Edit: I’m not a fricking troll (except for Bama and Missouri). I’m an LSU fan and it’s pretty obvious if you read my posts. There are not enough ND fans here or else I’d troll them too. I expected some DV’s but damn.

if you go by 0n3 rankings (which you should), Kelly already has many 5 stars in 2 and a piece signing classes, as he did in his first 7 years at ND. If LSU only gets three 5 stars in this class (think we ultimately end up with 5), he will have gotten more 5 stars in 3 and a Perkins classes than he did in his entire 12 years at ND. THAT'S the difference

Marcus Freeman has gotten only three 5 stars to commit to him as a head coach in the same time frame that Kelly has gotten EIGHT 5 STARS to commit to him (not sign, but commit so it includes 2025). This is going by 0n3 rankings.

Again, THAT'S the difference! Oh, and the Louisiana boys are just top of the line talent anyway.

LSU is now consistently securing high end OL talent. Once Bo gets his footing the talent gap between the two will grow even more.
Yep. And being that Bo has coached and recruited in Texas, Alabama, and Louisiana, he has deep roots in 3 of the top 5-6 places for defensive tackles in the country.

bring your debate about it, so I can break it down like a fraction. I already ruined the ill-informed noob who made the thread, and I hope to shake down your silly arse too.

Just because ND is getting the players with the same star ratings, doesn’t mean they’re better or the same level of players. I’ll take 3 stars from Louisiana over 5 stars from where ever the frick any day.

ND seems to get a lot of early commits because they were #1 for 24 at one point too. This is a big flaw with 247’s rankings, volume is rewarded heavily. On on3 LSU is #1 and ND is 5th

Back when players “mostly” chose schools based on where they wanted to play, it didn’t get much easier than LSU recruiting wise.

NIL has changed things but we are still up there.

Notre Dame always had money, it just doesn’t have local talent, isn’t located in a place recruits want to be, and isn’t an atmosphere that matches top schools.
None of that matters as much anymore

Not a noob. It’s pretty common knowledge that BK was limited at ND and a lot of people attributed a big part of that to the quality of players in the south vs who they were getting at ND. Don’t pretend like that wasn’t a thing, just stop. It was really just a question. People could have answered it in a non douchey fashion. Jackasses.

At the very least, seeing how pissed off everyone got gives me a better idea at how to troll Bama fans more effectively. It’s just too bad tidefans is a heaping pile of shite as a message board and no one posts there.

If you were a real Tigers fan, you wouldn’t be posting this on the biggest recruiting weekend in LSU history.
