re: The pitching will come around

It’s week 2 and we don’t look dominant yet. But we have the pieces and the coaching staff. Have faith.
There is not a booster at LSU who cares deeply enough about basketball to inject millions of dollars into the program. Maybe if Wade came back, but I haven’t heard he’s interested in a return. Kim retiring could also free up some basketball money. Any idea how long she wants to coach?
Does LSU have a booster willing to stroke a $20 million check for basketball after pouring so much money into football the last several months? Do we have a booster who cares enough to try and make basketball relevant again here? I’m genuinely asking.
The thing is there’s no separate boosters for basketball. Any money we put towards basketball is money we can’t put towards football. $10 million down the drain. We also won’t be shopping in the good coach aisle even if we make a change. It would inject some excitement but chances are even if we make a change we aren’t getting a great coach. Wade was an outlier hire.
Yes you should definitely take time out of your day to worry about this. Absolutely.
Everyone assuming Weston Davis is gonna be a starter lol. I think Tompkins or even Harper are more likely to start there tbh. Have we all forgotten Weston Davis was absolutely atrocious, borderline unplayable this year? He’s going to have to have a hell of an offseason and embrace the hard coaching in order to make a big enough jump necessary to start. I could see him being a rotational tackle and eventually overtake Tompkins once the raw skill marries up with the technique and football iq.
If the money is close then the kid should choose where he’d rather be. Both are good choices. No hard feelings.
I’m of two minds about it. Getting Seaton makes the offensive line way less of a question mark. But even if you don’t get him, you have enough pieces there to make it work. Kiffin has produced elite offenses with less than stellar o lines before.

I expect them to pick up 2 more OL at least.
Texas will pay him 4.1 or 4.2 and no one else will come close to that. He’s gone. I’d rather look at the tackle from Texas that just entered the portal.

Get a few more linemen and that looks like a solid depth chart.
Excuse me, but LSU is fishing in these waters now. And we will get one of these two qbs.

One of the Texas schools or maybe Oregon will pay up for him. He wants between 2-3 million. Pass.
Two words. Brad Davis. He was petty asf on the way out. He’s been posting on Twitter lately multiple posts about his o line from 2023 and 2024 as finalists for the Joe Moore award. He feels we ruined his reputation and ability to get a future job by pinning the failure of this year’s offense mostly on him. He told multiple players to leave and been working to make it harder for us to get traction with portal kids he personally recruited.
I mean idk why they sign that paperwork other than to outline terms of payment. None of it is enforceable. The schools aren’t even obligated to pay what’s on there. It’s all a farce until laws are made or collective bargaining happens.
Need a commissioner and need collective bargaining. Only way this gets fixed.

re: Jets need to fire Aaron Glenn

Makes you wonder why Glenn took that job. He for some reason thought it was a better gig than the Saints.
57 scholarship players is tough. Need to add a minimum 25 more.
Spend that money on a premier OT like Lance Heard.
