So BK left ND partially because he wasn’t getting enough talent

But they’re dead even for 2024, and they have 10 4 stars for 2025. I thought academic standards were too high, weather was too cold, whatever, for the quality players to commit in large amounts. Not a troll bitter post, just a little confused here.

It’s about $$ obviously but still, BK left because LSU “gets better players”. Thoughts?

Edit: I’m not a fricking troll (except for Bama and Missouri). I’m an LSU fan and it’s pretty obvious if you read my posts. There are not enough ND fans here or else I’d troll them too. I expected some DV’s but damn.

Who cares? Have you seen the list of kids that are visiting this weekend? Compare that to ND's Junior Day visitors list. Do we not have the top 2025 class so far and are on the verge of improving on that this weekend?

Maybe he felt LSU was a better job and the SEC was a challenge.

My thoughts: Some of you just come up with weird reasons to complain about something. Enjoy the process and be happy he's here.

La players in general are better than their national recruiting rankings for a number of reasons. Also lsu is just a better program post 2000, and really what difference does it make, we got him here, that’s all that really matters.

NFL PLAYERS BY SCHOOL
Alabama 57
Georgia 49
Ohio State 48
LSU 43
Michigan 38
Clemson 37
Florida 35
Penn State 34
Notre Dame 34

One could conclude that LSU gets a statistically significant number of better players than a Notre Dame

“Not a troll but I’m gonna make the most obvious troll post possible”

ND likes to think they’re on the same level but the absolute truth is over the last quarter of a century they’re basically TCU with a more annoying fanbase.

But hey, Marcus is really turning that program around…..

LSU finished 4 last year and ND finished 8. They were not dead even.

Why don't you look at the speed/skill positions before concluding this? That's where it's different at LSU.

He always had a big OL, TE, LB and DL, but he could never get the speed that allowed him to keep up with Bama while at ND.

There is a difference in the levels and styles of talent. Of course there are always kids from anywhere that can play everywhere. However, the highly ranked(and huge plethora of) athletes from the southeast are just different. Universally recognized as so. Since the Miami/FSU glory days of the late 80s/90s its been quite known that the south generates a different level of athlete. And a shite ton of them.
ND and the Midwestern schools(Big 10 imprint) are at a disadvantage in terms of the amount of athletes alone. The top half of classes at any power program are gonna be relatively in the same category of talent. The bottom half is where the souths advantage makes the difference. Kelly can fill the bottom half twice/three times over in a single class compared to ND in terms of quality of talent. Can fill each class individually from LA and TX alone and have better quality in the bottom half. I think that's what is meant in explaining BKs move south.
NDs long thought academic "disadvantage" is propaganda 101. Anyone that believes they don't "dumb down" entrance requirements for athletes is being naive. It's certainly not reason #1 for them not being capable of recruiting better.

The issue is where do you get the talent? LSU can fill out an entire top 5 recruiting class with prospects 5 hours from Baton Rouge.

Notre Dame has to scour the entire country, which takes a lot of time and travel. And in the changing landscape, will be even harder.

As BK gets older, the less travel scenario is much more attractive.

This post is so bad that it doesn’t even deserve an explanation from other posters. You know damn well the talent at LSU and ND is not comparable.

I think LSU is getting better player with BK than we’ve gotten in a long time.

That’s what I care about.

Someone pls roll that 2024 8 for 10 in La pic.

I, for one, am totally fine with what he’s done here.
Notre dame and their success hasn’t popped up on my mind like it has, yours.

Bitch arse troll. Nothing even about them. Ed Orgeron won a NC at LSU. Think he could at ND? No chance in hell. Go back to your end of the rainbow board or whatever lame arse shite y’all have.

You are spot on. Does anyone really believe Leonard Fournette (and I don't know how good a student he was, but would guess he couldn't enter ND without elite fb talent) would be denied entry to ND if he wanted to play football there?

You are basing this off a recruiting ranking?
