re: Joe Brady next Bengals coach?

Not if he wants to win he won’t. That franchise is a death sentence to wins.

Maybe to programs and head coaches who haven’t figured out that “recruiting coaches” are fricking pointless in today’s college football. You don’t get recruits anymore by trying to cheerleader them into running through a brick wall for your school. You get them by just fricking paying them.

At this point I don’t know why schools don’t put up a “positions of need” list like a “help wanted” add. Just list your required qualifications for a running back or offensive lineman or quarterback and have them sub their “application”
Really don’t care. Franks not a great coach and he’s no longer needed as a recruiter. Let him go to Ole Miss.

What? No? Come on man. They ain’t leaving that “prestigious university” in shithole Mississippi. Come on.
Has great potential but the QB position is a honestly a crap shoot and sometimes it’s not even the individual players fault when they don’t do well at the college level. Sometimes it’s just bad coaching or just a good old fashioned inability to properly communicate between the qb and coach. It happens. Sometimes they just can’t get on the same page. (Les miles killed the career of many a QBs.

It may just be me, but that shows me it's all about him, he was a frickin captain.

Can he get ball to receivers and running backs and not get sacked?

Then I don’t give a frick about his “attitude” in today’s college football.
I actually think he would do well there. Can’t do much worse than he did here.

Just hire coach O and frank. Wrap up some massive recruiting classes.

That’s not how “recruiting” works anymore. It’s basically, you offer them the “scholarship”. They send you their “demands”. You accept said demands, try to negotiate some things, or move on. The days of needing a “ra ra run through a wall” guy on the “recruiting trail” is over.

Is LSU saying O can't come back?

If they are smart they are. That dude is a snake in the grass.

So basically “places sir. Give me a job there. I’ve gone through all my money on trashy women and pixie dust”
They did get drummed by 2 of those 3 teams, but they did manage to squeeze out a win earlier against one of those teams. It was @ Georgia too if I remember correctly. It’s damn hard to beat a good football team twice in the same year. I’m going to split the difference between those two games and just count them as a single semi close loss to Georgia.

So now we look at the Oklahoma game. That was a close game against a quality opponent. It’s a loss but a quality loss. Not going to count that against them too bad.

So far it’s looking good for Bama to make a case to be in the playoffs.

Let’s take a look at their loss to Florida State. At first look, one sees that score and their first instinct is to cringe. But let’s not jump so quickly to that conclusion. It is, after all, the first game of the season and…. and….

Oh who am I kidding? No! frick no! No way Bama belongs anywhere near the playoffs. That loss to Florida State alone would make it questionable if you’d gone undefeated the rest of the season, but add getting dick smacked in the forehead in the SEC championship? Yeah?! No! Sit down and STFU and join the rest of us in “this was a shitty season” land.

LSU is the better job.

I agree with NIL and the transfer portal the way it is now. The idea of “Blue Blood” schools just doesn’t matter that much anymore.
Kiffin ain’t going to Bama. Why would he? He’s better off in Louisiana from a recruiting perspective alone. Louisiana puts more players per capita in the nfl than any other state currently. You also don’t have an in state rival to contend with. I believe we would match financially what Bama offered. I don’t see the real incentive to go to Bama anymore with NIL the way it is and the transfer portal.
We will see but If Indiana does win it (like I think they are) I’ll be starting off the new year looking good.
Yes but unfortunately for you Ole Miss fans, you can’t afford to pay on a year in and year out basis. Thats just a fact regardless of what you tell yourselves. If you could afford to pay the kind of money to compete consistently, you’d had a much bigger stadium you could fill.
If there is one thing damn thing I’m not worried about now is LSU’s ability to put points on the board. Kiffin will a way to score regardless of the personnel.

Just win and none of it will matter.
That’s a damn nice hire!

God damn. Lane ain’t fricking playing.

He will no doubt win a national championship here. I just hope he doesn’t go Ed O on us after. If he keeps it together, we could be a tremendous force for a long time.
