you have to play travel ball and devote crazy amounts of time to be middling within travel ball
Most of yall have no clue what 90% of travel ball is
Most travel ball teams are AA - they don’t play tournaments in the fall - maybe practice a handful of times - 99% of the kids play 2 other sports
Start tournaments in March play 2 weekends a month and play all games within a 50mile area
Their season ends early- mid June and they don’t do any baseball the rest of the summer
Rec all stars last all the way to the back half of July

And Ruth’s will put ketchup on your steak if you ask. Just because places will try and accommodate asinine requests doesn’t mean they have any intention whatsoever of serving it that way.
Why do they list the spice levels on the menu then? Most crawfish places in Acadiana have 3 levels of spice.
I like my crawfish spicier than just about any restaurant serves them. How would I accomplish getting them to the spice level I prefer?

Posted by Midtiger farm on 4/2/26 at 2:50 pm to SelaTiger
not a disaster but Trump is a C+ President, maybe a B- which is pretty good considering most are D/F
he hires and endorses shitty people because of loyalty and he definitely talks a bigger game than he can deliver on a reg basis.
Don't know what the ones who think he walks on water are going to do with themselves when he's gone

LINK
Click the link above for the “difference between creoles and Cajuns” (and it also goes into detail about all the things you have mentioned, including creoles living in southwest louisiana and Germans and Spanish)
This is taken from a book written in the 1950s by a self proclaimed Creole who wrote all about Louisiana in the book.
And if he was saying this as late as the 1950s I can only imagine what the creoles were saying 90 years before, right after the civil war.
History isn’t always so kind.
nothing in those pages proves you are right. because you are dead wrong
yea Nola elites might've called every rural person in LA "cajun" that doesn't mean it's the correct definiton of who the "creoles" and "cajuns" actually were or are today
Are your ancestors from southwest Louisiana or New Orleans? If New Orleans or the general area then you are technically Creole and not Cajun
This is actually your exact quote, if you didn't want to relate swla to cajun why did you ask if his ancestors were from there?
- so a Benoit who's family settled in Chalmette after coming from Nova Scotia is a "creole" just because they settled near Nola?

historically the rural “creoles” in southwest Louisiana were likely just considered the same as Cajuns.
Considered by a general from Indiana? Some people might've considered that but that doesn't mean its correct and the "Creoles" weren't just of French ancestry - many were Spanish and German
"if your ancestors were from Nola or surrounding area you are a creole, if from swla you are probably cajun"
This is your direct quote - no matter what some people thought of rural people, it is totally wrong

This is not true. some Cajuns settled in Nola or surrounding area
Also St. Landry, Iberia, St. Martin parishes are full of Creoles(those who's ancestors didn't come from Nova Scotia). Bunch of Creoles in Avoyelles also
Also SW LA - which consist of Jeff Davis, and Calcasieu, and Allen parishes isn't really that Cajun
Cameron, Vermillion, Acadia, and Evangeline are. Lafayette Parish also has lot of Cajun last names
