Raisins aren't a niche?

There are 100000 acres of raisins grown in the US
100 acres of tea

Tell me which ones are a niche

Is that a crop specific thing —like too much soy but not enough coffee?

somewhat but in cattle, and rice the us could provide the vast majority of what the US consumes. in crawfish the US could provide over half

We do feed ourselves easily. The excess has to go somewhere and that's export markets.

No we don’t
We have a negative ag trade deficit

We import tons of actual products that we can grow here
We have products where we export half our production while importing almost as much
quote:

But we do grow tea here. It ain't cheap but you can buy it if that sort of thing is important to you. It's not that important to most Americans. LINK Back to the point, why should we subsidize/protect raisin production but not other crops or products?

1 niche farm ? Wow

Pretty much every product grown here get some kind of subsidy and/or protectionist policy

Dude the on3 insiders were calling lane to lsu 10-12 days before lane arrived in BR

e don't grow a lot of tea here because it's cheaper to import. Should we be putting tariffs on tea so all tea is as expensive as tea grown here?

We don’t grow tea here because we don’t have the climate suitable to do it
Same with coffee and bananas

What crops should we grow in LA in your opinion?
quote:

No, I answered. Just not to your liking

Yea some generic crap that shows you know nothing about ag

Come on and tell me about the corporate farms taking over the country
quote:

No retard. Those are answers anyone should know.

Its the answers that pop up on the google search

You are in here acting like an expert on ag policy but have made zero in depth specific statements on the problems and solutions
quote:

Corporate farms rule the roost, they'll end up with the lions share.

Please sight examples of these corporate farms

What's the definition?

Most should have websites and social media presence for you to provide examples

What % of title 1 commodities are grown my corporate farms?
so you used chat gpt to get these answers

Now tell us how to fix the problem using specifics and what would rural America and the avg American farm look like compared to today

FDA policies

explain these policies

Still waiting for your answers on specific ag policies
quote:

ice. This instance though is entertaining because the problem was caused by the person getting credit for fixing the crisis.

Who caused this problem and how? Give me specifics
quote:

Without govt intervention, markets are self regulating and competition keeps prices low and innovation high.

This is generic economics teaching

I want you to explain the ways the govt is part of ag markets, how to get them out, and the good and bad once they get out

Also I’m still waiting on the answers to the other questions
quote:

Youre not a serious person. Holy cow...

Explain it to me then explain how to correct the problem

And answer the other 3 questions I asked you
quote:

Entity must earn 900,000k per year or less to qualify so large corporate farms won’t qualify

your AGI has to be below 900k which 90% of the people who can receive this payment have an AGI below 900k

It the same rule thats attached to every farm payment

Cut regulations,

What regulations do you want to cut that would help?

govt involvement in markets.

How is the govt involved in the markets?

quote:

Use anti trust laws to do what they are supposed to do as well.

What ag companies do you want to use anti trust laws to break up?
quote:

There it is

Give us the way in which you would fix the ag economy/ag policy in this country
Also how would you help rural communities?

They lived the majority of their lives listening to propaganda put out by by the govt that said things like red meat and eggs are bad for you and special k cereal is healthy
The Big 12 is a better conference than the ACC anyway and will be around longer
Once the first of FSU or Clemson leave the ACC is done for
