Court Date Set For Federal Lawsuit Between LSU And SEC

A hearing date has been scheduled for the ongoing federal lawsuit between LSU and the Southeastern Conference.
According to WBRZ, the hearing is set for November 18 at 10 a.m. in Birmingham, Alabama, as the two sides continue their legal battle over player eligibility.
The SEC originally filed the lawsuit after LSU explored adding several former professional football players to its roster under a Louisiana court ruling. LSU ultimately decided not to roster those players.
The conference later raised concerns about LSU's men's basketball program, but LSU disputed those allegations, pointing to its decision not to roster former Boston Celtics player RJ Luis.
LSU has requested that the lawsuit be dismissed, arguing that the SEC's claims are no longer relevant because the university did not add the players in question.
The SEC, however, maintains that the dispute remains unresolved.
