Same here brother. If not for those fricking libs we'd both be billionaires within the next 24 months. And then they'd do the unthinkable and reduce us to a couple of pathetic multi-millionaire who can only afford 1 yacht instead of 2. And it won't even have its own helipad. It's downright un-American.

If you did a "boomer" search on this board you would probably come up with 30 or more threads. Do we really need to debate it again? If a boomer wants to bury his money with him, that's his right. If he wants to distribute evenly amongst his surviving family, that too is his right.
Talk to your cheap arse boomer parent and leave it at that. It's just too easy. I would imagine your boomer parent can't stand to be around you is the reason you are not in the will.

Danger is all those young voters lap this shite up. They gonna get 'em some that money.

Why would you want to tax your families wealth that will be passed down to you?

And don't give me the made up reddit response that their parents will spend it all on long term care. None of my grandparents or great aunts and uncles spent their wealth on long term care facilities.

What young people who do nothing but bitch, moan and say atrocious things to their elders patently fail to recognize is that, despite all the advantages they have been given - easy living; a car; the ability to stay at home and pass back the debts from their screwups until they "launch;" far better educations (on paper anyway) than most of their parents could have hoped for; the best health care and nutrition the world has ever known; and a friggin inheritance in many cases - they are nonetheless the laziest, most spoiled, entitled, verbally and socially abusive ungrateful little frickers in the history of the planet.

Boomers have in a great many instances now cut them loose because they are old enough to grow up and provide for themselves and frankly deserve it, and guys in their '60s who have 3-5 million+ deserve the right to be left alone by these parasites, and to spend their hard-earned money on themselves and partners.

Our money is not their money, and we are already in the process of withdrawing and protecting it further.

A reckoning is indeed on the horizon, but it isn't going to crash down on who they think. We have our money because we took advantage of the opportunities this once great country afforded us; unfortunately, they are, as a cohort (not all of course) destroying their own opportunities and ruining their own futures.

And I am appalled at the growth of the National Debt. How can you spend that much more money than you take in in taxes. And I'm retired so I can understand why the youth are disgusted with this.

They're not disgusted with the national debt at all. They're disgusted with their own current financial outlook, rightly or wrongly. But their voting proves they don't care about federal spending.

I laughed when Obama made the famous “you didn’t build that…” speech. I didn’t realize what he was setting up because he wasn’t talking to me. He was pre-tainting the minds of the youth. Now I see it.

Just wait til they realize they can vote for everyone to be euthanized at 65 with a 100% estate tax, regardless of health status. They'll be falling all over themselves to gas granny to get her good silverware.

They can get some of my money because I tip well.

Just do not let the fricking tea run out.

I expect it to be cheaper because when the Mexicans come back and take all their jobs I can just toss them a few pesos and they can be happy.

Under the boomers we've seen the greatest transfer of wealth in history from the middle class

This is just not true.

What is true is that the middle class is shrinking. The thing is, lower class is not growing, the upper class is.

Besides, according to studies, the majority of those who do support the weath tax are children of upper middle to mid-upper class parents. Basically, they want the parents money and believe government can get it for them...to an extent.

When we boomers were young we didn't call for a wealth tax. We believed in Meritocracy. That's gone. The younger generation wants benefits according to need, race and gender, not hard work and years of frugal living until achieving financial stability.
