That's not true at all. Plenty of people who work still get benefits as long as they qualify.
Then they shouldn't get welfare. I've just never encountered them. All the people I see on welfare are unemployed because they don't want to work or else it's hard to get a job when you weigh 400 pounds.

It’s still shocking to me that yall are surprised that a man with 5 baby mamas who paints everything gold supports welfare
I'm totally against welfare. Read more carefully. I'm questioning whether this is going to welfare recipients. I don't know the details. Welfare is giving money to people who don't work for a living. If you are a low income worker you're not on welfare.

I'm okay with this.
Yeah, I don't see where this is rewarding people on welfare. It says 'low income Americans.' There are people who have low income jobs. And if you have a wife and a kid you're still low income despite working from age 21-65.

The Democrats have been creating bad policies since the end of World War Eleven.

he’s just some crazy guy yelling on a street corner at this point.
He was a very smart guy but he's getting senile. He and Trump are about the same age but Trump's brain is in much better shape than Carville's.
Hmm, so 'Homeless' and 'Prostituion' are bad words that we shouldn't use? When I was young we never used those two words. We used 'Bum' and 'Whore.'
It's about retention of power. They could have instant peace by stepping aside and letting their people vote. Sure things are bad for them. But as Lucifer explained in Paradise Lost:
'I'd rather rule in Hell than serve in Heaven.'

Why doesn't capitalism pay doctor's minimum wage? Wouldn't the profit seaking hospitals make a lot more money?

Comey will win in court. He has a defense that cannot be defeated. After all the prosecution witnesses and evidence have been presented he will stand before the jury and wipe out the charges with one simple sentence that cannot be disputed. Here it is:

Comey responds to indictment: ‘This is not who we are as a country’

I don't think it will cool down. We are at a point in American history where we have a higher percentage of people who think Communism is a great idea than ever before. They are not the majority but there are lots of stupid voters out there that will vote for them because they promise 'fairness and equality for all.'

No affordable housing in my neighborhood. Almost everyone has a dog. Not a single pitbull.

I watched Jimmy Kimmel a couple of times when he first started late night and before he got so political. I stopped for the simple reason that he was not funny. I assumed they were using a laugh track for the audience or else they had an audience with an extremely low threshhold for humor.
Katie Porter is going to win Calif. Governor's race
Posted by Zach on 4/28/26 at 9:40 am
It's gonna be hard to beat these promises from LeftNet's latest fundraiser email:
The free college deal is gonna get the youth vote. Not sure how she's gonna pay for it. Maybe the profs will work for minimum wage and that will be paid by "Taxing the Rich!"

When I’m your governor, I will deliver:
Single payer health care,
Less expensive housing,
Free child care for all,
Zero tuition charges at our UCs and CSUs,
And, thousands of dollars back in families pockets, by eliminating California income tax for those earning less than $100,000.
The free college deal is gonna get the youth vote. Not sure how she's gonna pay for it. Maybe the profs will work for minimum wage and that will be paid by "Taxing the Rich!"
re: The Argentines claim to the Falkland is similar to the Mexicans claim of Texas

Why not just let the people who live in the Falklands vote on whether they want Argentina or England?
Back in the day the SPLC's message was to whites more than black audiences. They wanted whites to feel guilty about racism and join the movement by voting left wing (and donating money to them). I don't know if that target changed over the last 10 years.

it would raise the governor’s annual salary from $130,000 to $182,088,
What if we cut the salary to $70,000 instead. Would anyone run for Governor? Oh, I think so. Would they be high quality? I don't think La. has ever had a high quality governor.
What happened to the old fashioned protest: The Hunger Strike? I see a lot of screaming fat women at these protests. They should go on a hunger strike.
