re: Is 2026 the first time Dems openly endorsed Communism?
Posted by Zach on 8/22/26 at 4:13 am to Pedropatterstine
The Dems have always endorsed 'The Workin' Man' against greedy rich people. But the solution was heavy support of labor unions not communism. They started losing the workin' man when their emphasis switched to people that wanted more govt benefits instead of working.
Michigan has a state law that says after an election the voting records must be destroyed before 1 month. Federal law says you can't destroy voting records until after 1 year. The woman in charge of erasing stuff is facing a prison sentence from one or the other. She wants the courts to make a choice.
Another thing young adults are doing is saying 'ya-know' in every sentence. Driving to town each morning I listen to America's 1st news radio and they interview young 'experts' at some agency and if I count 5 ya-knows per sentence I have to turn it off.

White women must have been different 30 years ago because they didn't rally for Susan Smith who drowned her two sons because her boyfriend wouldn't marry a woman with children. She's still in prison (and been raped twice) and I don't see any women protesting for her.

No, and I don't care. I just want one of those.
Every man does not want a woman who looks at him with devotion etched on her face.
I just wanted a girl who was tall, thin and had a very high IQ. It was not easy to find.

I’d like more context on what being suspended for racism actually means.
Arday was not suspended for racism. I'm not talking about the guy who caught him.

Can you do us a favor and give more information about why this guy was suspended?
Here's the Walsh show with lots of examples of why he's not qualified:

Matt Walsh had a great show detailing what kind of stupidity came from Arday. One clip of him lecturing his class reminded me of Kamala Harris trying to sound philosophical. Stuff like:
'We are not just who we are...
We are also part of what is...
And what is may not be where we are....

Most New Yorkers are too stupid to know what is happening.
Their logic is simple:
The purporse of the govt is to help people.
The govt stores help people with low cost food.
The govt then helps private stores hurt by this, giving them money to keep in business.
It makes perfect sense. All it requires is raising taxes on the filthy rich so the govt can keep giving money to those in need.

PS - I'm joking. 90% of those dimwits didn't go to college.
At Centenary I was in a dorm 4-room suite (8 guys) and 4 of them were drama majors (all 4 gay). None of them had any interest in politics. They never voted nor did they ever discuss politics. We got along great. The most conservative guys in the school were Business Adm. majors.

That's true. Viola Jackson received her benefits after her husband died. He was a Civil War veteran. She got the money until she died in 2020.

Either gas prices matter broadly or they don't.
Lemme splain it to ya. When I buy gas I don't worry about the price. But while pumping the gas I look at the gallons meter and I see the price. There's not much else to see. There's no pretty girls to look at. They make their guy get gas for their car.

Coming from New Iberia I knew a LOT of kids going to Catholic schools. Their stories were very consistent:

I was married and expecting first child when he was elected. We were going through a very tough financial time with Carter. Grocery prices didn't just go up every week. They went up every day!
Gasoline prices didn't just go up. There was no gasoline! If a station had any gas the lines at the pump went for blocks.

It's all about semantics. Does anyone remember being gay meant you were happy?

The GOP has a big weapon for the midterms but it's not something they can talk about...IT'S MONEY!!!!
The GOP has tons of money for the mid-terms. For the first time in the 20+ years since I signed up for DNC emails they are admitting they are broke and way behind the GOP. They have dropped their 'chip-in $20 today' tagline to begging for $7. The big corporations that used to give to both sides have dropped the Dems because corporations don't like communism.
The result will be in Nov. when GOP candidates in close races will get tons of money for TV ads while the Dems are gonna have to speak to small college crowds who like communism.

Good thoughts, but you have to remember that the parties don't have the same targets. The Dems target Trump even though Trump is not on the ballot. The goal if to motivate Dem voters to turn out in the primaries and take power away from Trump in his last 2 years.
The GOP candidates in the primaries cannot attack a Dem president. They have to attack their specific opponent and those are going to be limited to the audience in their state.
