midway point of league play -

LSU 6-9
USC 5-10

we play in BR in 3 weekends and have 6 home games while LSU hosts A&M and plays in Starkville - it's not impossible for Carolina to have more SEC wins than Mainieri's beloved tigers when USC gets to town - none of them won by him -

Sasha's intent wasn't to turn Death Valley into P-Valley - it just kinda happened - and she was just doin her thing -

Yardcocks with a chance to sweep?

Hell hath frozen over (even if it’s just Mizzou)

first chance for Carolina to sweep a SEC series since SEC weekend #2 of 2024 when the Gamecocks swept #3 Vanderbilt at Founders -

in the 22 SEC weekends since - USC has been swept 9 times and won just 4 conference series -

2024 Mark Kingston - at Ole Miss (1-2) - vs Van (3-0) - at Bama (1-2) - vs A&M (1-2) - at UF (2-1) - vs Ark (1-2) - vs UK (2-1) - at Miz (2-1) - vs UGA (0-3) - vs Tenn (0-3)

2025 Paul Mainieri - vs OU (1-2) - at Ark (0-3) - vs Tenn (0-3) - at MSU (1-2) - at A&M (0-3) - vs Ole Miss (2-1) - at UK (1-2) - vs UF (0-3) - at Aub (0-3) - vs LSU (1-2)

2026 PM & M Lee - at UF (0-3) - vs Ark (1-2) - at UGA (0-3) - vs Tex (1-2) -

probably not coincidentally the last road series USC won was at Missouri 2024 - PM won his lone SEC series the 6th SEC weekend of 2025 against Ole Miss - Pawpaw was swept in 6 of his 11 full SEC weekends -

USC's Amp Phillips 8IP 10K 1BB - an unearned run T4 held up for the only score of the game -

Carolina wins its first SEC series of the year - USC had dropped 8 straight SEC weekends after taking 2 of 3 from #11 Ole Miss April 2025 - thanks Pulmonary -

6th inning had some things happen you just don't see ever day - Patrick Evans 2 run HR and a double to lead USC - Brandon Stone pulled at 75 pitches and just 2 hits w 7K in 6 innings of work for some reason -

it's always great to hear the Gamecock Radio Network broadcast the game from a media booth that doesn't have a view of the first base dugout or right field at the true SEC baseball gem otherwise known as Taylor Stadium

I still can’t believe FSU brought their pep band to a baseball game. What a bunch of posers.
2/28/25 - first time I'd ever seen a band at a baseball game - Clemtards v USC - they did it again at the Cow Palace for game 3 of our series this year too - 2025 was about 20 pieces or so - they took up a whole section in LF for this year's game - they apparently only do it when Carolina comes to the farm -

record books if the Tigers are able to make it back to the NIT championship in 2027 -

the Redmen and Gamecocks are the only 2 schools to win the tournament back-to-back -

it seems Stephen Pearl is just the coach the Tigers need to accomplish the feat and stand alongside college basketball coaching giants Joe Lapchick Adolph Rupp & NIT Dave Odom -

re: South Carolina beating Texas

Posted by 1801 on 4/2/26 at 9:58 pm to
Carolina & Texas have played just 4 games ever in Columbia - USC has won 3 now - the most recent 3 -

Gamecock baseball tonight looked like Gamecock baseball for the first time since Carolina took 2 of 3 at Founders from #4 Kentucky the last weekend of April 2024 - it's been awhile - too damn long - 80 games Paul Mainieri too damn long to be specific -

Texas' 3 SEC losses have all been in game 1s of a series - so USC hasn't really won shite yet this weekend - but the performance tonight couldn't have come at a more needed time for Carolina -
