Abdul should educate hisself - there once was a far greater muslim athlete than Adbul who was friends with DJT - oh and someone named Jesse too -

Braves were 9-2 in series opening games before playing in Seattle - they've been 2-3 over the next 5 before tonight - it wasn't a critical game to win but it's one you'd rather not lose - and hopefully starts another string of series opening wins -
that was fun - Braves have had a knack for doing that B8 at home this season to effectively take the opponents soul right before the T9 - but B7 works tonight just fine

After decades Clemson is headed back to the SoCon.
well if so at least it's due to money - we get threatened around here to be banished to the SoCon because our big 3 men's don't win

CU's gonna have to get serious about cuts - everyone is - those 7 majority lifetime BOT holders will likely be the last to budge as old habits die hard - especially after all the winning and titles since 2011 -

CU's football program has entered John Calipari/UK standoff territory with Swinney's salary and the changing landscape of NIL$ past 3 seasons - I fully expect the tigers to enter the SEC when the media rights cuts off in 2031 - just kick the budget can until then if possible -

that's pretty bold outta Gilmore considering his history with opinions of mostly RT - but USC baseball too - he's not wrong -

if Chance MIller ends up in VT - I think that pushes Schnall towards Carolina even more - Joe Moglia is near 80 years old now - not as involved in recent years on their campus - not sure where Coastal would turn for an AD - they wanted Miller to stick - that has to be a concern for Schnall -

I'd be pretty okay if Williams was back handling our pitchers and recruiting SC high schools for USC -

staying in the ACC - the Orange school in the SC Upstate is $2.65B in the RED for long term debt - with $259M in debt service due very soon -

https://www.fitsnews.com/2026/05/06/code-orange-clemsons-financial-crisis-deepens/

quote:

A year ago, our media outlet blew the whistle on the deteriorating financial situation at Clemson University, a state-supported institution of higher learning in the South Carolina Upstate.

Last month, Clemson’s board of trustees – governed by a majority of unconstitutional lifetime appointments – heard additional data attesting to the school’s increasingly perilous financial footing. A slide show was presented to the board by Clemson’s chief financial officer, Rick Petillo, which concluded the institution has yet to reconcile its red ink problem.

As Clemson’s administrators and trustees squabbled, the school’s red ink continued to climb. According to the institution’s most recent annual comprehensive financial report (.pdf), the school’s debt ticked up to $1.15 billion – or $38,882 for each one of its 29,545 students. Of that total obligation, $236.9 million is due within one year.

Clemson’s total long-term liabilities have also continued to expand. That total figure now stands at $2.65 billion – an increase of $231.9 million from last year. Of that total, $259.1 million is due within one year.

there's also this -

quote:

Dabo Swinney earns $11.45 million annually ranking 4th nationally. The Tigers generated $78.2 million in football revenue averaging recent fiscal years.

Clemson’s NIL collective TigerImpact reportedly raised $5 million initially but lags far behind SEC powerhouses spending $20-40 million.

The program faces financial pressure competing outside the ACC’s lower media payouts. Swinney’s contract runs through 2031 with a staggering $60 million buyout, making him virtually untouchable despite three consecutive seasons without ACC championship appearances.

credit to Donati for making a clean break and doing so within 48 hours of the final game -

Lee was just on Sportstalk with Kornbutt - spent a lot of time talking about NIL $ and the players that were brought in basically spent more time comparing their bag to others on the team - our homegrown boys didn't care too much for it - team was not connected at all past 2 seasons with NIL basically at the core of it all - he said out loud what we could all see -

I cut it off before the interview was over -

Evans was vocal about wanting Monte to get the job - he's someone I'd prefer stick around next season to see how he does with better coaching - Craddock needs to be a priority re-recruit - Bak okay by me too - Matt Williams can chose what pitchers he wants if any to remain - yeah that Matt Williams - it's all trending in favor of Schnall & staff -

I didn't just look at where they were born. I looked where they were raised. There's a couple on the borderline or yankee list that were born in the south but raised elsewhere.
furthermore - both Murray KY & Blacksburg VA are located further South by geographic coordinates than Richmond VA -

Mark Richt is a yank more so than Beamer -

it's happened in consecutive seasons now -

2025 Aggies finished 30-26 / 11-17 - won 2 games in Hoover -

2026 LSU went 30-28 / 9-21 - 1-1 Hoover -

https://elect.ky.gov/Resources/Documents/voterstatsdistrict-May%20Primary%202026.pdf

according to the KY board of elections - there are over 600K registered voters in district 4 - over 300K R's ....

and according to the cartoon image you posted - only 105K voted in total for their May primary -

there was more turnout than 2024 - but in reality it was still a very poor overall turnout in the low 30% of registered R voters - that's the real reality of what happened yesterday in KY - Kentuckians who voted overwhelming for Trump in 2016 2020 2024 told Massie to shut TF up yesterday -

Tennessee wins 11-6

-Vols have won 10 straight against South Carolina
-Since 2019, Vols are 18-3 against the Gamecocks

Never would've imagined that. What a divergence the two programs have taken
all-time series went from 64-33 to 67-51 in a mere 21 games - it's been a complete face plant with what seems no end in sight -

SERIES VS. TENNESSEE

Carolina holds a 67-51 series advantage on Tennessee heading into Tuesday’s game.
The two teams did not face each other in the regular season.
The Volunteers swept the three-game series in Columbia in 2025.
Tennessee is 3-1 against Carolina in the SEC Tournament.
The Gamecocks defeated Tennessee, 5-1, on its way to the 2004 SEC Tournament title.

ours likes to collapse in painful ways - but I also have to credit our abysmal fielding and at times brain dead base running - that has all contributed to the flaming turd that has been the past 114 games

Philpott started the season having to rest his arm for soreness - he got his first action in Charleston against The Citadel the mid-week game before Carolina and Florida played in Gainesville SEC opening weekend - and he's just pitched in spots ever since - there was concern he could miss the season but somehow it's worked out -

he was anticipated to be a weekend rotation arm -

whoever our next coach is has to make Craddock the biggest priority - Evans played high school ball about 30 minutes from Founders Park -

Kinda crazy that for how good South Carolinas baseball history is, they have only won this tournament once
Back when they were good, they knew that certain things locked up. They came to Hoover and went 0-2 many times that I went. Ray Tanner knew the tourney was not going to hurt or help him so he saved pitchers and rested players with injuries. (I thought I would answer this because I doubt there are any USC fans still watching).
watched most all of it this season - and last - nothing like this in our modern history

you nailed it with Ray and the SECT - once he got the 2004 trophy in Hoover it was all about the Regionals - if Carolina was a Top 8 NCAA seed some of our guys didn't even make the trip to Hoover -
