LSU's Lane Kiffin Expects Injured Alabama Star WR To Play Saturday

One of the biggest questions surrounding Saturday's matchup between LSU and Alabama is whether Crimson Tide star wide receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams will be able to play after missing the last two games with a knee injury.
During his radio show Thursday night, LSU head coach Lane Kiffin said he expects Coleman-Williams to be on the field Saturday, citing Alabama's history of getting injured players back quickly.
“Well, I bet Ryan will be back because I’m going to give some credit to Alabama and the trainer there, Jeff Allen,” Kiffin said. “It’s unbelievable how players play there, how fast they come back from surgeries. So I would expect him to play.”
Coleman-Williams underwent arthroscopic knee surgery in mid-October after suffering an injury against Georgia on Oct. 10. The junior receiver has caught 23 passes for 415 yards and four touchdowns this season.
Kiffin, who previously served as Alabama's offensive coordinator, recalled a similar situation involving former Crimson Tide offensive tackle Cam Robinson, who returned from surgery in time to face LSU in Tiger Stadium.
“Yeah, we’ve been around there. I’ve been on that other side when Cam Robinson, the left tackle, had TightRope surgery,” Kiffin said. “Twelve days later, we were playing in Tiger Stadium, and he played every snap.”
Coleman-Williams was listed as questionable on Alabama's injury report Thursday night.
Kickoff between LSU and Alabama from Tiger Stadium is set for 2:30 p.m. CT on ABC.
