Because you’re stupid son of a bitch when you try to tax the wealthy they up and move to a different area or tax base it never works. I saw it happen in Venezuela he (Hugo Chavez) tried to tax the rich and they all moved to Miami that shite does not work sorry there are no freebies work your arse off and earn your money.

Like Margaret Thatcher said the problem with socialism is eventually you run out of other people‘s money

In 2008, when Boomers became the majority in the Senate, the national debt was approximately $10 trillion. Today, it's roughly $40 trillion. That's a $30 trillion increase, or about 300%, in just 18 years. That's a pretty staggering.

Now share the united plan of millennials in the legislature to balance the budget, eliminate waste, and reduce the debt.

Leftists one minute:
"The boomers have spent this country into a fiscal crisis!! They are screwing the younger generations with debt!!"

Leftists the next minute:
"Free healthcare!!! Free college!!! Pay my student loans off!!! Subsidies for housing!!!! Give migrants welfare!!!! Don't investigate any fraud!!!! Universal Basic Income for all!!!! Pay pay pay pay!!!"

bullshite!

How much money has Jeff Bezos COST Americans in wealth transfer?

How much money has Elon Musk COST Americans in wealth transfer?

How much money has Mark Zuckerburg COST Americans in wealth transfer?

Your critical theory sucks!

Under the boomers we've seen the greatest transfer of wealth in history from the middle class. They've increased the debt massively while in power passing that bill along to next generation.

On top of that they are known as the most selfish generation in regards to passing money to their kids.

Congress has increased the debt. You fools keep voting for the free stuff, the programs, and people who promise you those things. You want to look for a boogieman and blame your financial situation on others when, in America, everyone has the opportunity to be successful. Jealousy is what you are feeling and being sold by the left.

If your concern is this selfish generation isn’t passing their wealth down, good news, the government will get it eventually in the form of taxes.

Stew on this, the people you are voting for will be 10xs wealthier before they leave congress and you will be in the same financial situation, or worse. Here’s another tid bit, they aren't voting to have their acquired wealth taxed. No chance.

And theres a lot more govt funded "free stuff" now than even 20 years ago, much less 50 or more years ago. If young people (or people in general) are worried about the debt all that free stuff has to go and never return because even if you raise taxes to the stratosphere we can never tax our way out of this deficit hole. Its got to come from less spending but when you discuss getting rid, or scaling back on pretty much anything the pretend fiscal experts suddenly dont have any ideas other than getting mad about old people for some reason.

You know. We hear how Gen X is going to have to be the first generation to get meaningful Social Security cuts and we are just going to have to suck it up.

But we never hear from the same people how the youth.. who apparently are going to save the country... should give up anything or any wish lists to assist with the debt.

If you took every penny from every billionaire in the United States it would fund the government for just a little over a year. Then what would you do?

Oh you poor naive soul!

When income tax was initiated in 1913. less than 1% of the population was taxed. The rest celebrated because they didn't have "enough assets" to be impacted. How did that eventually work out?

First off, a wealth tax (like the original income tax) is probably unconstitutional without a Constitutional Amendment. Second, Uncle Sam would dearly love the forced audits a wealth tax would entail. For the first time ever, Americans across the spectrum would be forced to divulge net worth to politicians.

Eighty percent of US millionaires are first generation "new" money. Sociology texts have been written on how those individuals managed to accrue their wealth. Inevitably, the constant is living beneath means while investing savings. Now you and Dems are all in for punishing that behavior.

I know several first generation millionaires. None of them went to college, they all worked retail or sales and none of them ever made more than maybe 120k, and they made alot less than that most years.

Yet they lived in old houses, drove old crappy cars, rarely traveled, ate out sparingly, and just lived below their means in general. They invested the rest in the markets or rental properties and just kept doing that for a few decades.

And now young morons who have never had that level of fiscal control, knowledge, or even desire honestly to live like that, hate them and want their wealth confiscated and given to them because life's not fair.

Yes you did, you insinuated that by presenting it as no big deal due to "98% won't be taxed".

Do you want to continue being a disingenuous little prick?

I looked it up. The wealth of boomers is about twice the national debt. They could take that money from us and spend it and we'd still have the same national debt.

I do not agree with this tax. It would literally be voting against me and my sisters best interest.

I’m all about less taxation.

You took it the wrong way.

I’m against taxation. Literally on the phone today with my pops planning out how we need to shift things around to avoid taxes.
