I might want to see that.

Wife allegedly claimed the guy was following her and her kids in the store.

Commonly misunderstood tool. The garden hose used to beat someone is half filled with lead shot. As you swing it, the lead shot migrates via centrifugal force to the striking end and delivers quite the blow.

Source? A buddy retired from NOPD gifted me one he carried in his back pocket back in the day. Empty hose would be weak sauce.

Dummy. Look at it again. Pats post was clearly being sarcastic.

The march was specifically extended to go in front of Pats so they could flaunt to all the people on the Patio. Kicker is people getting bent out of shape is just what the March organizers want. Just ignore them and don’t give them the attention they crave.

The AG could push for malfeasance in office,

That charge requires the person to be either using their position to do something illegal or not doing something their position requires. Hard to see how that fits.

Second Degree Battery could apply. But it requires rendering the victim unconscious or causing significant injuries requiring hospitalization. A “oof my neck and back call a lawyer” doesn’t normally cut it.
Well if this were Hollywood or DC, the go-to move would be for the Sheriff to “publicly admit he has a problem” and go to a resort rehab for 60 days. Then return and preach to everyone the evils of alcohol as if he is now the superior person.

You know - play the victim and make this all about himself.

Let’s see if he does Classic damage control 101 or if he owns this like a man and says “frick y’all, this guys an arse and deserved everything he got.”

Underrated comment.

Hey what the frick man!
Talked to my sauces with the office, and this sauce is no super fan of Randy, this is what he said:

“I am torn on this. Randy was in the wrong but… this guy is such a flaming a-hole and has said so many exaggerated terrible things about the Sheriff that he really had it coming. There is a line where even politicians and public figures deserve a break from exaggerated criticism. I can’t say I wouldn’t have done the same thing.”

I called my guy to dogpile Randy, of whom I am not a fan, but now I am kind of sympathetic. I guess my comment at this point is that he shouldn’t have done it while shite faced. If someone deserves an arse beating, do it sober and in the parking lot.

Elvis - In the Ghetto in current times

Posted by jbgleason on 5/29/26 at 6:28 pm
If Elvis were alive and released In The Ghetto in today’s climate, how would it be received? It came on today while I was mowing the yard and I thought to myself that I think he would catch a “Racist!” charge.

Which would be ironic given that he was way ahead of the times with his acceptance of black music and culture.

Your thoughts?

Part of the lyrics for the youth challenged.

quote:

Well, the world turns And a hungry little boy with a runny nose Plays in the street as the cold wind blows In the ghetto (In the ghetto)

And his hunger burns So he starts to roam the streets at night And he learns how to steal, and he learns how to fight In the ghetto (In the ghetto)

Then one night, in desperation The young man breaks away He buys a gun, he steals a car Tries to run, but he don't get far And his mama cries As a crowd gathers 'round an angry young man Facedown on the street with a gun in his hand
Not sure what’s controversial. People use cars to murder all the time. This is no different than the Jihadist that mowed down people in Italy yesterday.

Full frontal nudity galore.

There are all kinds of interviews with the actors about this. The props department made basically panties for the women with hair attached and they made drawers for the guys with the big dong on the front. It's kind of funny to hear them talk about it in the interviews.
This thread is about whole home generators. Yes smaller ones are generally gas.

I don’t know anyone with a gas or diesel whole home. Natural Gas is the only way to go.

re: Anyone here ever quit drinking?

I used to drink. I still do but I used to as well.
If you think about it, it’s really amazing that people are willing to just jump on a bus or get in a taxi and hand your safety over to someone with unknown qualifications. At least on a plane there are two licensed people up there keeping an eye on each other.

On a bus there is some mouth breather who couldn’t get a normal job and we are all like “it’s cool, I am sure it will be fine.”
Last big hurricane (Ida?) I was standing in the kitchen when the power went out. I thought "oh shite, here we go..." Twenty seconds later everything came back on and cold AC came out of the vent.

I thought, "that generator just paid for itself." I repeated that thought daily over the next two weeks until I got power back.

So, if you live somewhere susceptible to hurricanes and the possibility of an extended power outage, frick yes it is worth it.

Now go to the part of the report where this unvaccinated kid is some illegal alien from Guatemala who has an entire family living fee here on government assistance. But we are a “country of immigrants” and “no human is illegal.”

People need to read some history and look at how immigrants were screened and quarantined at Ellis Island in the 1800’s.
I met Muhammad Ali and not just in passing. Was at a resort golf course country club bar in Phoenix years ago (late 90’s) and he and his whole family were in there. He came over and started doing magic tricks for my buddies kids. His wife sat down and explained that his doctors were having him do sleight of hand tricks to help with his coordination from the Parkinson’s. We all ended up at a big table talking and drinking. I played shuffleboard and pool with his kids some as well. We were having a great time and then some dipshits in the bar realized who he was and left, somehow went and bought some posters and other shite and brought the stuff back and started badgering him to sign all the stuff. Apparently they told someone where ever they bought the stuff because then a bunch of other people showed up wanting autographs. They left at that point.

I had been having a great time all afternoon and hadn’t asked for an autograph, a picture or anything else. Was legit just enjoying hanging out. As he was leaving, he grabbed me by my shoulder and pulled me out of my chair and faced me and squared off with his hands up. I was confused and then realized he was doing a weigh in style face off. I put my hands up too and he got right in my face. Everyone was snapping photos and i still have that one somewhere.

$5 million

But not for that much.

My buddy was on a civil trial jury selection where the plaintiff had lost a hand at a plant. He was suing for $100 million. In response to a question from the lawyer my buddy said he thought that was too much. The plaintiff lawyer jumped all over him about it and said sarcastically “how much do you think a hand is worth???” He came back and said “I don’t know but not that damn much.” He was quickly excused.

In the pre-hospital medicine world, any fall at twice your height is considered serious and potentially fatal. Bunch of Baw Cajun plant workers are all probably around 5' so your 10' number tracks.
