Why are boomers so shocked when the younger generation calls for a wealth tax?

Under the boomers we've seen the greatest transfer of wealth in history from the middle class. They've increased the debt massively while in power passing that bill along to next generation.

On top of that they are known as the most selfish generation in regards to passing money to their kids.

When you want less of something, tax it. When you want more of something, don't tax it.

So pass it through the government so they can waste at least half of it before it gets to their kids.

This young generation is just too fricking smart for us to keep up with.

I am not shocked at all. How much money does a person have to have to get taxed?

This will not solve the problems of the younger generations. And so the slow destruction of this country will continue.

And I'll be gone in the not too distant future.

Wealth tax sounds marvelous . Do they tax the person or the source of the wealth by force?

Sounds democracy in action.

The transfer hasn’t happened yet. Boomers have to die.

Since you are so intelligent economically, who do you think will pay the wealth tax when it isn’t enough and when they spend that what will they tax next? You are quickly turning into the biggest dumbass on the board, congrats!

They've been taught for their whole lives that wealth is not earned and that the government is entitled to other people's money.

The whole concept of the "progressive" tax system is designed to inflame class envy.

The entire premise of a wealth tax is insulting to me.

I started at 0. Economically, I got kicked in the teeth repeatedly and finally built something. I save it and invest for my children, and I donate time and money to charities of my choice.

Anyone that wants to take it for some bullshite government waste program can go frick themselves.

Did every Boomer’s kid piss their parents off so much that they need the government to take their assets from them to have any hope of seeing a benefit from them?

Ain't it great? The years we lived and a lot better than the ones these sniveling brats have coming. I try not to gloat too much. Somebody has to be left holding the bag.

So we have spoiled and petulant children, who are mad at their Boomer parents and grandparents, they collectively decide to vote for the DSA in huge numbers, thereby putting the future of the US in jeopardy.

If this ^^^ is remotely true then Boomers need to seriously consider leaving their money and possessions to reputable Christian organizations, and not the Woke Christian churches and organizations that have cropped up over the past 15-20 years.

BTW, I would share your Boomer concerns with your Boomer parents/grandparents so they're 100% informed when they make their final will/trust.

Aren't you on the verge of inheriting millions of dollars from your wealthy Boomer parents?
Why would you want your inheritance to be smaller due to a wealth tax?
