They are all scared of LSU, and what might be once Lane comes here and makes it a powerhouse.
I initially thought this way also, but now I believe it has more to do with Ole Miss.

A relevant, competitive Ole Miss is better for ESPN, etc... than a second tier Ole Miss. Kiffin had them there, but it seems the talking heads do not believe anyone else will be able to keep them there as consistently.

On the other hand, they believe LSU will always be there - even with a Les Miles or someone like Coach O at the helm.

do you think all three are leaving their situations under the same pretense?
I'm a bit confused by your use of the term pretense. Maybe I'm missing something, but I thought Kiffin is on record that he sees LSU as a better opportunity, specifically one where he can win championships more consistently. Is that reason a pretense - i.e. an attempt to make something that is not the case appear true?

Is that not essentially the same reasoning the others gave for leaving? Are those pretenses?

If so, what do you assume the real reasons are for these moves? According to all reports RE Kiffin, the remuneration was "very similar" on all his offers. So if the others are leaving simply for more money then they are different - not sure why any of this would be characterized as a "pretense" though.

Notre Dame in playoffs
1) get in a conference
2) don’t lose two regular season games

Hearing that once Weiss has escaped Patrick Bateman and is back in Oxford he won’t be returning to Baton Rouge.
Great, we’ll keep Weis.

because the kid that went to Michigan underwhelmed as a true freshman LSU should steer clear of this kid in our back yard?
No one said that.

They just disagreed with your ridiculous price tag.

At some point soon, the media will have to recognize and acknowledge
Kind of reminds me of Trump. We are going to win so much we’ll be tired of winning. They can’t stand that.

I’m not sure these shills in the media will ever admit the obvious.

Maybe in 10 years if all the success comes they will somewhat relent.

BTW - I will never be tired of winning!! Geaux Tigers!!

Lamar is having a signing ceremony at school on today
Well, this is wrong so I’m not convinced about your other statement either.
And just think, if we took only one 5 star it would be even higher.
Are we sure Weis is signed? Yahoo over at Ole Miss Locked On said he only signed a nonbinding MOU.

f they can't handle not knowing the entire long-term plan for everyone in the program immediately, then their commitment to LSU (the program) isn't very deep.
Yea, I thought I heard Frank say in a presser when asked about how they would go about their work with all the uncertainty ahead, that they would do it like professionals and that LSU is bigger than any individual coach.

Guess that was just lip service - if all the rumors in this thread are true.

Big if.

Are you getting your info from Mascona?
No, he's getting it from AYS.

Sources: Charlie Weiss Jr. will coach the Ole Miss offense in the CFP
Good. Now they can STFU about Kiffin just wanting to burn everything down.

Brando is a count. He knows Woodward, the architect of the "COMPLETE mismanagement", was already fired because of it.

Opens the show by saying "We're taking a clear, level headed look at ...", then proceeds to parrot every emotional talking point he can cram into one episode.

Clear? Hardly!
Level headed? Nope!

Toddler level emotional meltdown is more like it.

Chance for what?

That OM might make the SEC Conference Championship game and he could coach them for one more week?

We call that over-sharing.
Dude also said Auburn would win the Iron Bowl.

Are the Giants considering making an offer to Lane Kiffin?

OMG - He's been here like one day and already starting with this shite?

One wonders if those people will repent and offer some congratulations to Landry, Rousse and Ausberry for a job very well done.
I don't, it's plain and simple - they wont.
