They’ll be sending pallets with billions in cash for Trump’s racist and religiously bigoted ‘war crime’ attack on the Nation of Iran. This is not satire and hyperbole; they absolutely would if they could. Then the Impeachment.

Moving closer to the throw down.

Four Republicans voted with the Democrats:
Thomas Massie
Brian Fitzpatrick
Tom Barrett
Warren Davidson.

house used a concurrent resolution vote to restrict war powers

Supreme Court has ruled in the past that Congress lacks the power to restrict executive actions via the concurrent resolution.

From what I have been reading the senate would need 60 votes to end a filibuster to end debate on the resolution. Also should both house and senate pass the resolution curbing war powers president cannot veto.

But USSC has not ruled if the war powers act if constitutional or not yet and there is speculation if it will be strict down or. It.

Good, constitutional authority to declare wars rests with Congress. This is an undeclared war, so Congress must act. I doubt it will matter much though because the institution is so much weaker than intended.

You would prefer that Congress handle it.

Needs to get passed by the Senate as well. That would really be a nut-buster.

You think Trump will sign into law?

If the executive is the commander in chief, how can the legislative branch legislate powers that are reserved for the executive? If they aren’t declaring war, what can they actually do (other than defund the military)?

The Democrats are rooting for us to lose the war just to stick it to Trump.

Disgusting Behavior

You must mean would the people that control Bibi allow him to allow Trump to sign it? Bro, anyone with a heartbeat knows the answer to that question.

I already said he’d veto it. I’m saying Iran has to be feeling pretty good about now and the Senate would be the icing. So the resolution isn’t exactly meaningless.
