I tend to agree. The hard line they have taken with nukes isn’t going to change no matter what they agree to. If regime change can’t be accomplished at this time then there really is no other solution then back away and hope for the best. I don’t think this war was completely pointless but its lasting effects will be what truly judges that.

I thought about this too. And the beach isn’t exactly next door to the White House. They needed to get her out of there so she could keep her powers as well. As much as she pissed and moaned about being a supe isn’t it fair to say she is choosing to be one at this point?

Yeah this was one plot hole of the many. Can’t say exactly what constitutes releasing the virus but seems like that process should have done it. As careful as they were being with it seems even a drop spilling would have caused some harm.

Even when he sent the Musk-like character to space they do it off-screen. Why not show it? Do something different than the same ole fight stuff. But no. He just says that’s what he did. Lame.

It will be interesting to see if the new high school is built now. If it passed it wouldn’t have.

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A recent vote by the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board has sparked confusion over whether the district is moving forward with building a new high school inside St. George.
District leaders say that is not the case.
The confusion stems from a board vote this week approving the next phase of a long-planned high school project on land off Siegen Lane. The district purchased the property in 2018 and approved plans at that time to build a new high school there.
However, if voters approve the creation of a St. George school system in May, the property would fall within the proposed boundaries of that new district.
At Thursday’s meeting, the board voted to move forward with selecting an architect for the project. Board member Dadrius Lanus said that step is a legal requirement to keep the project active and does not mean construction is beginning.
Lanus emphasized that the district will only build schools within its own boundaries. “Any properties that we’re voting on are going to be in the boundaries of the East Baton Rouge Parish School System,” Lanus said.
Lanus said the future of the project ultimately depends on the outcome of the upcoming vote.

There was no 3rd choice. The machines are set up to display either the DIM candidates or the Rep candidates. Not both
Just so you know there was a 3rd choice. Neither would be lit up.

Need to somehow get Trump to endorse it.

It actually failed worse in EBR only which it also needed to win. That might be the more disappointing result. 69% to 31%

I had to pick a party, or no party but f that.
The party you’d pick only last through today and the runoff primary. It’s not permanent. You’d still be no party for the next election.

Everyone voted on amendments. The only option today was which Senate primary to participate in. Dem Rep or none.

Please elaborate. I'm truly interested in the no party option. I always thought that's what independent meant.

The Independent Party of Louisiana was a political party that was dissolved on August 1, 2025, after being established in December 2016. It was the third largest party in the state, with over 150,000 members, but was dissolved to allow its members to participate in the Democratic and Republican primaries.

STATEMENT ON MAY 16 ELECTION NIGHT TURNOUT DATA
This may be where 2 weeks comes from. I think it just relates to voter turnout results though. The ballot choices were made by signing a written form but the votes cast were still done electronically.
quote:
With Louisiana’s new closed party primary system, voters registered as No Party may choose to participate in the Democratic primary, the Republican primary, or not participate in a closed party primary race.
Because of this, all parish registrars of voters must complete their work in giving each voter credit for voting in the election, identifying which ballot choice each No Party voter made. This may take up to two weeks to process those ballot choices.

Present your alternatives then. Like comedy the pickins get slim for horror in the latest decades. Although it feels like there’s a Renaissance underway. For horror at least.

You think Landry wants more State workers? And the civil service workforce already has too much protection. Much more than private.
