Correct me if wrong, but this would only be to break the filibuster and move to an actual majority vote?
thought i read where the GOP was looking into bringing back the "talking Filibuster" as a floor rule.
until 1917, there was no mechanism to end debate, as long as someones was on the floor talking. 1917, the senate passed rules to allow a cloture vote. the senate rules were again changed in 1970 (Senator Byrd)
IMO, this will not work either, as you will get another 25hr+ marathon with cory booker speaking endlessly...but i guess can they actually go on endlessly or not is the question.....

re: UN Secretary General: Clean Energy Future Is within Reach

Renewables are a piece of the puzzle for energy but not the lone source.
Efficiencies of energy use is another big piece.
20 years ago office buildings used typically 2w/sq ft now with LED you can get 0.5w/sq ft
HVAC is the largest energy use in a tropical facility. Typical 40-60% of a facilities energy consumption is towards HVAC.
Retro commissioning, VFDs on motors (variable air and variable fluid flow systems), un-occupied set backs, dual use systems like HPCHs and CHP systems can also greatly reduce our existing loads. Peak load shedding like thermal storage or battery storage.

Most contractors aren’t stupid. I’d bet most hear attorney or doctor and immediately request payment upfront and add an additional fee for potential headaches.
Most contracts are from owner to general contractor. Most general contractor to subcontractor contracts are “Pay when Paid”. Meaning the General contractors does not pay subs until they are paid. (If never paid they never have to pay).
Subs can lien a job but in bankruptcy then they are SOL.
Also standard contracts are billed monthly on work done the previous month and usually payment pays 45 days on a good job but closer to the 60-90 day after invoicing. Then there is the 10% retainage that is held from every billing and only paid after the job is accepted as substantially complete.
So at a minimum the contractors for work ongoing are out 10% retainage but likely more due to delay in payment time frame.

Chemotherapy is the reason I am still here today. It’s all depends to. The type of cancer and the progressiveness of when they diagnose it.
Thankfully stage 2 testicular cancer (spread to lymph nodes) had. 90% survival rate at 5 years when I went through treatment.
But someone with stage IV colon cancer that is a different story……
