re: Car warranty question
Posted by tigeraddict on 8/21/26 at 5:52 am to Louie11
Wife wanted an outback (2025 model) we found one in Lafayette a year ago that didn’t have the tariff adder
The only thing I paid additional for was gap insurance. Last time I bought as car new was 2010. Would have been much cheaper from my car insurance company but wasn’t thinking ahead of time.
Their sales pitch on the extended warranty was the UI on the dashboard. And how much it would cost to replace.

Edit:
I just renewed last year (age 51) on 20 yr term
My previous 10 yr term expired and a did a couple of year to year trying got a lower rate.

Yes. Wife has family in Franklinton.
Also, parents had good friends in Columbia, MS and we used to drive the back way through Bogalusa in the 80’s

D establishment is spending a lot of money to defeat DSA candidates and losing. The DNCe have to be livid.
DSA candidate has taken any shot to upset in Florida and how they are at risk for getting upset in Michigan.

And just wait for insurance companies to raise rates in cali since the LRR tires by design have less traction and thus less handling, less braking capacity, and less all weather gripping.
Will mean more accidents.

Why not, they are attacking him. Their weapons factories are fair game. So are assassinations since Nato has been doing them.
This is no different then Russia and China helping Iran target us positions in the ME
This is no different than what Russia did in Korea and Vietnam. And no different then what we did to them in Afghanistan
And Russia will not attack NATO. This is just saber rattling on Russias side. And fear lingering on the NATO side.

Single shot black powder rifles are not modern LMGs. 1800 British with M4s or 240s would have absolutely shredded a bunch of dudes with spears.
British used the Martini-Henry Breach loaded single shot rifle in Zulu war
AI search:
quote:
A trained military soldier could fire the single-shot Martini-Henry rifle at a sustained rate of about 10 to 12 rounds per minute under combat conditions. Exceptionally skilled or practiced shooters could push past this benchmark to reach up to 15 or 20 rounds per minute for short bursts if they had loose cartridges ready in their hand.

1800 troops at a conservative 10 rounds per minute = 18,000 rounds a minute. and they lost to 20,000 with shields and spears. and could see and attach at all angles if needed
1 man with a M4 (not counting reloading and weapon overheating) can put down at best 900 rounds per minute in only one direction at a time.
if 1878 British with 1800 men in open fields of Southern Africa cant beat an ancient army, then no way a single guy with an M4 could do the same against an ancient army of x2 the size, with horses....

simple answer - NO. History proves it as well
just need to look at the British vs Zulu's.
AI search:
20,000 Zulu defeated 1,800 british (1300 dead) in the Battle of Isandlwana. i would say 1800 solders >> firepower of 1 M4 and 1 man and 40,000 of Alexander >>> 20,000 Zulu

Battle of Isandlwana (January 22, 1879): Roughly 20,000 Zulu warriors attacked and overwhelmed an invading British column, inflicting one of the worst defeats in British colonial history.
Defense of Rorke's Drift (January 22–23, 1879): A small garrison of about 150 British soldiers successfully held off a fierce assault by thousands of Zulu warriors.
Battle of Ulundi (July 4, 1879): Armed with heavy reinforcements and massed firepower, the British decisively defeated the main Zulu army, burning the capital and ending Zulu sovereignty.

What JD did by himself against Florida that year was insane.
In JDs defense, had he had just an average defense things would have been different.
