Prayers for your wife. Y'all keep up strength, courage and faith in the fight. Cancer still and always will suck

Prayers to you and your family. My wife went through breast cancer but it was not as far along as your wife's cancer is.
It is hard on a woman and I'm not sure she has ever been the same since because of the medication she had to take after radiation and chemo.
All you can do is support her and your family and pray the therapies work but I'm sure you already know this.
Good luck to you and your family in this time.

I’m sorry to hear this. Do you live in Houston? Mom spent quite a lot of time at MD Anderson and we found a lot of resources for free places to stay and such.
There’s a coffee/snack station on Floor 2 that we spent a lot of time at while waiting. The food is actually pretty good too.
My mom beat stage 3 triple negative breast cancer back in 2019 or so. They gave her the red devil.

Sorry to hear this. Triple negative is an ugly monster. My thoughts are going to be with you and your wife.

Our world got turned upside down yesterday. It’s spread to her lymph nodes but the good news is that’s it. She starts chemo next week and we are at MD Anderson which is supposed to be the best.
Triple negative Inflammatory breast cancer so it will be 6 months of chemo, surgery, radiation, then reconstruction surgery.
We are working out which order to tell the family and close friends because as of now we have each only told our bosses.
Sorry to hear. She will get the best treatment possible at Anderson. My dad was given CAR-T therapy last year there and it saved his life. My sister also went through the full mastectomy and reconstruction when she was diagnosed with something similar. It is definitely a long road, but rest assured there is light at the end of it.

MD Anderson is awesome. Wife is dealing with lung cancer. 2023 dealt with it locally with surgery and Chemo. Came back start of 2026 did chemo and radiation. Did noting in fact 4 new spots showed up after they wanted to biopsy again. We decided to go to MD Anderson. They said due to her genetic marker of her tumor they had a pill that has shown to work well with that marker. Three months on the pill got another PET scan and all the new spots were gone and her tumor shrunk more than half. Left a lot of question of why the local docs didn’t try this pill as it has been out over 5 years but that’s a long discussion on it. Just happy we went to MD Anderson. A second guess why we didn’t go earlier. You and your wife are in great hands at MD Anderson!

It's not going to be easy, for both of you. It's important that you be strong, and a source of positive encouragement for her. Be her rock. And don't underestimate the power of prayer.

My prayers go out to you and your wife. My wife and I went thru the same thing several years ago. Have faith, be strong for her, she is going to need you lean on during this. I will advise you that if she gets implants during reconstructive surgery, check the lot # very carefully. My wife's leaked and it caused another form of cancer.

Sorry to hear. MD Anderson is the best. I’m here today also beginning a new clinical trial. If you happen to see someone wearing an LSU t and gray sweats give me a shout.
