re: Chainsaw recs

I burn wood for heat. Over the last 12-15 years I've narrowed it down to 2 saws. Ms311 with 25 inch bar and an ms 170. For the price the 170 is hard to beat and does about 85% of the cutting that I need. I've started using the true fuel in the gallon cans and I believe that has helped with the saws ...

re: Simpson pressure washer? Good buy or too good to be true?
Posted by Branson on 3/19/24 at 8:54 pm
I have the same one that TJack has. I caught it on sale at TSC for $250. Ive had it a year and it's been great. The hose that it comes with sucks. Replaced after 2 uses. I pressure was the concrete around pool and patio and do the brick on my house as well. Word of caution if cleaning vehicles don't...

I've had a 35 Remington for years. Absolutely my favorite gun. Slayed a lot of deer with it.save your casings when you shoot. Find someone who reloads and buy them the dies for it. It's cheaper in the long run....

Haven’t met a tree I can’t burn yet
I felt that way too until I got a hold of black locust wood. It was like trying to burn a rock. Lol...

re: Looking to upgrade my bow components

I have whisker biscuits on both my bows. Never had an issue with them. As far as sights go, I used to think more is better. As my eyes got older the number of pins decreased. I'm down to 3 now. Never liked a pendulum sight tho....
re: Varmit gun - help me spend some money

I have the marlin 17 HMR with the bull barrel. That little round comes out of the end of that thing screaming. To me it sounds like a framing nailer when fired. That will be the gun I introduce my grandkids to the world of shooting....

Ive had these on my 3/4 ton and they have been great. Been driving on ice for 4 days and they have passed the biggest test for me....

Out of your list I've only been stationed at 2.im sure that both places have changed drastically since 95-01. My wife fell in love with Germany. It was a cool country and you can tour just about all of Europe for cheap. Korea was a different animal. That was the coldest place I've ever been to (inclu...

I saw this and wondered why nobody mentioned Mossberg 930 or 940 waterfowl? I don't own one but some guys I work with do and they swear by them. Do they cost more , weigh more or just suck? Like I stated a lot of guys around my way shoot mossberg....
re: Rifle advice in budget 308
Posted by Branson on 12/29/23 at 7:24 pm
I agree with saintsfan1977. I would stick to the tried and true calibers like 243,270,308, 30-06, 7mm mag and 300swm..if they are readily available. I mainly hunt lever guns but my bolt actions are all old calibers. I personally think the 30-06 is the best caliber out there and will kill anything in...

Mossberg Patriot

I'm new here although I lurked this site for many years. There is a lot of good information and opinions exchanged here and Im hoping this topic will be as well. Does anyone have any experience with the Mossberg patriot rifle? It seems to have good reviews and I was looking at one with the wood sto...
