re: Old Mandeville Swat Action

Posted by 4WHLN on 2/14/24 at 1:51 pm
Checked with my parents who live in OM and they said Police are everywhere. Several SWAT type vehicles came flying down the road out of nowhere. This has the makings of a possible hostage situation or some sort of standoff inside a house. ETA: my mom confirmed that a suspect is barricaded insid...
What exactly do you believe they did poorly?
Im not at liberty to say at this time. But there was to be a statement released by DSPD to the news this week that still has yet to happen. So why tell the family this will happen and yet again fail to follow through on your word. [quo...
I believe the father said the other driver has not been identified, according to Kiran's article
I know Blake’s parents well and have so for many years. The parents were told not to say who the other driver is at this time due to the “ongoing investigation”. I will respect their...
The parents do know who the other driver is. Louisiana State Police have really screwed this one up from the moment the accident occurred. The other driver also has a warrant for some sort of simple burglary with a stolen weapon. Weed was also found in his car at the accident scene. There were s...
Chicken Shack
Maannnnnn I used to love that place. Have not been in years. 2 piece Tuesdays always had a line stretched back to the door. Is it still on par with pre-covid times? Always loved the looks I would get in there from the patrons. I was a grain of salt in a sea of pepper. ...
FWIW, the kid suffered a concussion, will miss round 6 and be reevaluated before round seven.
Glad that is all that he suffered. When the bulls head came up hitting Ky's face and sent him helicoptering 10' in the air, it looked quite a bit worse. Baw was out cold before he knew what ...

re: Louisiana Inspection Sticker Question
I've heard rumors that no inspection sticker ticket is a slap on the wrist but having an expired one is a lot more. This true?
I know from personal experience that a ticket for an expired sticker was $250.00 about 7 years ago. In a thread several months back, a poster here stated t...

re: Your oldest functioning appliance?

Posted by 4WHLN on 11/21/23 at 7:54 am
Not technically an appliance, but a electric Circular Saw and Jig Saw from the mid 70's. Both Black + Decker I believe. My old man passed them along to me when he went for the new fancy battery powered stuff because he kept cutting the cord (literally) on the skill saw. Its missing about 2' of cord ...
