Are there better margins on raising beef and pork(surely?)? Or we as a a society unable to break the bond/companionship with our four-legged equine friends?

It’s a delicious and healthy option but you can never find it served anywhere. For those that haven’t had it, it’s a cross between a lean cut of beef and venison.

If you’ve enjoyed a nice horse steak, or other preparation, please share your feedback.

Horses are for riding
Cows are for eating
Dogs are for companionship
Pigs are for eating your enemies

The steak was so rare it still had marks where the jockey was hitting it.

I had horse meat sashimi when I went to Tokyo last December. Tasted like beef to me... not bad

Americans absolutely do not associate Horses with food. The American mind consciously associates them more with Pets like Dogs or Cats than a cow

In the words of the philosopher kings Hall and Oates, I can't go for that.

The main issue for most other types of meat besides the "go-tos" is this. They just aren't as good.

The one stand out for me was ostrich, but I'm sure that's a PITA animal to raise in large amounts.

We tend not to eat the animals that are useful or we form bonds with.

No, it’s not. I had it in Kazakhstan, and it sucked. It tasted like cheap corned beef.
