SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey spoke with reporters at SEC Media Days on Wednesday and was asked what he'd like to see from LSU to feel better about their standing within the conference:

"I’d like to not be in court, but as I said, those legal filings speak for themselves," Sankey responded.

The comments come one day after the SEC filed its opposition to LSU's motion to dismiss the conference's federal lawsuit.

In Tuesday's filing, the SEC maintained that the dispute goes beyond the eligibility of former professional athletes and continues to raise questions about LSU's compliance with conference rules and its membership in the league.

Has he ever commented on Trinidad Chambliss being ruled ineligible by the NCAA?

"I'd like to not be in court..."

Then why did you file lawsuits in the first place? Why are you arguing against the motion to dismiss? Kinda sounds like you DO want to be in court, jackass.

C'mon don't be so obtuse.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like it either, but what he is essentially saying is he would rather the things going on not be going on so that he wouldn't have to file lawsuits, etc...

Until the judge says these players are ineligible this fight will continue. In my mind LSU needs to make a decision. Have the injunction overturned or decide to go to another conference. It playing the guys means nothing. The SEC wants an ineligible ruling by the judge. Until then LSU is defying SEC rules in their eyes.

Is this an example of the "Monkeys and bananas" story, but with 15 bananas instead of five?
user avatar
I should have said 15 monkeys. The 16th would have been the one who challenged the rest.

That was a lawsuit and court hearing from the players, not from LSU. What an ignorant fool!
